Last Minute Questions....

Okay to me it is last minute but I leave in 39 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. At SSR, would like to be close to DTD and have a good bus stop and be close to the main building. Are Grandstand or Congress Park my best options?

2. Do I have to get my park tickets before hand or can I get them ( MYW + water) when I get there at SSR?

3. Have not done Magical Express before, we get in at 5pm, when can we expect to get to SSR?

2. Do I have to get my park tickets before hand or can I get them ( MYW + water) when I get there at SSR? I believe you can either add them on with MS or get them at the Parks- someone correct this DVC newbie if I am wrong. We are getting APs since we have two trips planned this year and possibly 3 so we are going to get them when we get there at probably the MK - a lot say buy them before d/t cost increase - but I am going to take my chances d/t it being Christmas Time.


3. Have not done Magical Express before, we get in at 5pm, when can we expect to get to SSR? I usually figure about 2 - 2 1/2 hours but we always get there much sooner - I do this so that if I am making ADRs so we'll have enough time.

Plymouthmom, since you live here in MinneSNOWta, why not buy tickets at the Disney store at MOA? They are cheaper than buying the same tickets on line or when you get there. THat is, unless you are doing APs. We always buy MYW hoppers for our guests at the Disney Store and save a few bucks each.

Now I just have to figure out the 14 year old( bday while we are there) and whether we do the free ticket for the day or the Fastpass.

I am so hoping the weather is good and we both can get out of here without issues!

No, we have never done travel insurance, and in 15 years of DVC, we have only had one trip where we missed the whole first day, and that was due to the airlines, not the weather. We once were delayed by the weather in January, but we had been on an early morning flight, so it still worked out fine.

Good to know. We did it last time through the travel agent but are thinking no this time around. Our flight leaves here at 10:15, connects in Indy at 1 their time and leaves at 2:30, we get into Orlando at 5.

Still trying to figure out which building to request at SSR. Thinking Congress Park or Grandstand. Want to be close to main building and have a good bus stop too!

Gonna head to the MOA this weekend to get my tickets!

For best bus stop, its Grand Stand. For close to main building, its Springs Section. For close to DTD, its Congress Park. Unless you plan on going to DTD everyday, stay at the Grand Stand...its the first bus stop. To get to DTD take first bus and jsut get off at the Congress Park bus stop and walk over.

Go to MouseSavers.com and register. They have the best deals for park tickets, with free shipping. We use them all the time, very reliable. If you are going for AP's just get them at when you get to WDW.

Its about a 30 minute ride from the airport to SSR. I always allow one hour from departing the plan, to separting ME bus at SSR.

I really don't think there are units that fit in all of those categories at one time. The Springs section is probably the closest to the main building and pool. Every other section is a bit farther from the main building.

There are two ways to walk to DTD from SSR. From the main building, there is a walkway to the West Side. This walkway goes across the canal toward the first tee on the Lake Buena Vista golf course and along the parking lot for the West Side. It enters the West Side near the Cirque building. The Congress Park units are close to the Market Place side of DTD. The walkway for that goes along the lake and out to Lake Buena Vista Drive. Then along LBV Drive to the Market Place. There is also a boat that goes between the main building and the boat dock near Captian Jacks in the Market Place on a regualr basis.

Haven't stayed at SSR since the Grand Stand was completed so I don't know how the bus schedule works there right now.
