last minute questions

We leave tonight. Still trying to pack. I don't have time to search for the answers, so if anyone could help, I would appreciate it
1.) Do you bring your own towels to the water parks? I cannot remember what we did last time we went, but I would rather not pack beach towels.
2.) We have tix to MNSSHP this Sunday night. If it is a wash out with rain, how do we go about asking to come back a different night, or how much rain does it take?

Not sure about the MNSSHP but there were towels at Typhoon Lagoon. I don't know if you had to rent them or not. We brought our own beach towels.

You need to bring your own towels to the water parks, or rent them for $1.00 each. We just brought some from our resort. We brought them back with us and left them in the used towels bin at the resort swimming pool when we returned.

I don't think they cancel the MNSSHP due to rain.

We got poured on for the MVMCP one year and everything went on despite the downpour.

Had a holly jolly (soggy) christmas...

It rained some last year when we were at MNSSHP and we were told that it would have to be VERY bad for them to cancel. They may cancel one or both parades if it is lightening, but the party usually continues.

Remember to pack ponchos.

I just read here on DIS boards yesterday about a MNSSHP getting cancelled due to rain. That was the first I had ever heard of that. They said they were offered regular park tickets for replacement.

It would have to be an awful lot of non-stop rain, probably in the middle of a week of rain to not happen I would think. We had days and days of rain here in NC this past weekend and week.
Have fun, I am sad we will be missing MNSSHP for the first year ever this year , but it's okay, I have gotten over it, although it took me about 8 months to get over it!!! We just booked and paid for a 9 day trip to the World in January so I'm happy!

They do not cancel the MNSSHP due to rain, however many of the special events are cancelled if its raining. I was there this year on Sept 14 and it rained all night like a monsoon. If it rains so much that they cancel most of the special events, they will offer you a pass to come on another night but you have to ask for it at Guest Relations.

I would bring your own towels to the water park.

I went to TL a few weeks ago and rented a towel ($1). I think that's easier than bringing one from your resort, then lugging a wet towel back with you. There wasn't any line to rent the towels, either - it was very easy and quick.

As others have said, it would have to be a huge, huge downpour for them to cancel MNSSHP. The first night this year, in September, I think they canceled the first parade and the fireworks because of rain, but didn't cancel the event itself. Plus, I think I read that there were some power outages at MK and some of the rides were shut down.

Some people asked for a refund, but were only given single-day admission tickets to MK, to be used within one year. (Apparently, you had to ask for them - it wasn't automatic.) Plus, you wouldn't be able to attend another party a different night, because they only give the regular MK admission tickets, not party tickets.
