I have a guest of honor pin from my last trip and it is pinned on my backpack. I just realized that I'm not sure if this is okay to take on the plane as part of my carryon. Does anyone know if it is okay to have a "pin" on your bag? I know that the end is sharp but it's technically not listed as a prohibited item on the TSA website. I really don't want to lose it but I would like to bring it along. Do they still make the guest of honor badges with your hometown on them in case I have to give it up? Thanks!!

My dd had to remove anything like that when she flew last week. Probably better to take it off and keep it safe than to deal with stopping to take it off then. Have a safe flight. :)

I think it would be okay... I mean what about granny wearing her diamond broach? it's the same sort of pin...

I beleive in extra security and support their efforts but sometimes it is a bit much - I remember having to remove the bright orange plastic gun (with a 5 foot cord) from my Nintendo Set (I bought a a gift) and check the gun in - they put it in another little box with a luggage tag.

We packed out GOH pins in our carry on with no problem at all. HTH!

My whole family wore their guest of honor badges on the flight in April and I was planning on doing it again when we go in December. We did not have any problems and actually had a lot of crew members comment on the pins and wish us a great visit to WDW!
