We decided to take our golden retriever at the last minute and we have reservation for our motorhome, however we just called Disney and they said it might be to late for us to bring our dog. What would they do if that Pet loop was full and can't put us there but we have a reservation for another site?
Has this happened to anyone, that they didn't let Disney know they were bringing a dog with them?

In my opinion I would say don't worry about it, they will find you a site that will accomodate you and your pup. If all pet designated loops are full, they have loops that they can place dogs in as a backup plan. When we were there in October, the room assigner forgot to assign us a site. The manager was going to put us in 400 which is not a pet loop but at the last minute found a site in the 500 loop. They can always make arrangements for you so don't worry. Plus they get cancellations all the time so go for it. So make sure you get it added to your reservation that you would need to be in a pet loop.

Call FW directly and find out what all the pet loops are. I don't think you mentioned that you orginally requested a pet loop. If the regular pet loop(s) is/are full they do have over flow loops. Call FW since they are more informed than CRO and then call CRO to get a loop request on your reservation.

Certain loops in FW are designated pet loops meaning that these are the only campsites that are suppose to have dogs in them. Dogs are supposed to be contained within these loops and are not allowed to be walked in other sections of FW. So if you are planning to go camping at FW and are taking your dog, make sure you let them know when you are making your reservation that you need a pet loop :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 .

The kennel is very nice at right at FT W outpost if worse comes to worse. Just be sure to bring appropriate harness ect for dog as they do expect them to be leashed and not loose at all.
I imagine they will be able to get you in a pet loop.

We made our arrangements on-line and there was no where to request the preferred pet loop. We don't even know what site we are assigned. Is there a way to find out?
We had just planned on using the kennels since we can't fit our labs crate in the trailer and he still chews when bored.

Thanks,

Melissa

I was wondering about this too. What if you decide to take poochie at the last minute? Also, do the kennels board over-night?? I was under the impression that it was daytime use only.

The kennels will board overnight for a slightly higher fee. Same rules apply regarding walking, though. :moped:

Apparently there are 5 kennels on Disney property. One is located at the FWCC. You cannot make reservations, they are first come first served. However, the woman I spoke with at the FW Kennel told me that there will definitely be space open.

The cost is $6 per day/per dog for just the daytime hours (you have to pick them up by 8:00 p.m., or $9 per day/per dog and they can stay all day and night. You just have to go and walk them 2-3 times a day. They will feed them the food they supply or you can bring your own.

Our Lab hasn't been camping yet, my Jack Russell loves it though she tends to be a barker. We hate the thought of disturbing other campers even if we were in the pet loop with other dog owners.
