Last Minute Panic to take advantage of Incentive

At the very last minute we are considering the add on at SSR. I phoned my Guide and am waiting for him to phone back. But with 24 minutes to go before the end of the day (and it is nearly 10.00 p.m. here in UK!) I don't think he will phone today.

Can anyone tell me what the deal was? I believe I need to buy before 19th June but could not remember the details. I think I need to buy 120 but what was the price?

19th is the date and $95 is the price (going to $98). If you have a UY in the 2nd half of the year you might take the $90 discounted price with full 2004 points or pay $87 and only get 2005 points. Either way it's no dues until 2006. Still not 100% clear on which year you get the 100 bonus points but they go to your existing "home resort". Do I have this right?

I think as long as the process was started you are ok. Thats what they told us at the member briefing a few weeks ago.

I prefer the cheaper price as I don't think I need the points next year as I will already be banking 204 for this year.

Let me try this again I can buy 120 points at $87 a point and do not have to pay annual dues on these points for a year. Was there anything else I should know?

I am thinking of cancelling our trip to Vegas to pay for this and my friend will be really upset but hopefully she can come to WDW over time with us. Hope that will make it better for her as we had been planning her 40th birthday trip for 10 years!

Now all I need is a time and place to tell her........

The extra 100 points are at your existing resort.

That's right, and the points go into whatever use year you select. If you decide to take the '04 points for $90, the 100 free are also '04 points; if you opt for just '05 points @ $87, the freebies will also be '05 points.

It makes no difference to me, but the 100 free points go into your original contract. So I'm buying an SSR add-on, but the freebies go into my original OKW contract. It actually makes sense if you really think it through.

Heck yep, I'll be glad to pay you $360 for those '04 points . (I had a Feb use year so couldn't take advantage. You can just transfer them to me! HA!

My guide never phoned me back. I spent all night thinking about it and I am sure this is what I want to do.

I will phone again when I get in from work with my credit card ready!!!

Actually, your cost would be about $820 for the 120 '04 points, if what my guide told me is correct and you have to pay the dues on those points. It would be the $360 + $3.82 X 120, or about $460, for a total of $820.

I was thinking about getting the '04 points, but at almost $7 per point plus the fact that I have an October use year and limited time to rent them, it just didn't seem worth doing. If you had a December use year, that might be a different story.
