Last Minute Member Getaways?

In each Member Clubhouse e-mail, there is a listing of last minute Member Getaways available through II. Since we're relatively new to DVC and have never used our points outside of Disney, we were wondering if these last minute getaways still require points for a trade through II or are they reduced cash price offers since they are last minute?

if you are member of II - then yes you can pay cash for these and they are something wonderful deals...

if you aren't a member of II - DVC is the only timeshare you own that trades thru II - then no you can't get the great deals for cash.

is the public site for II getaways for non-II members. II members pay at least a $100 less - sometimes more.

If DVC members aren't eligible to get them, then why are they advertised in our monthly newsletter?

They're not being advertised as cash deals. They're simply advertised as being available right now, no waiting for a match. We're taking advantage of one to travel to Williamsburg next summer and stay at Marriott's Ford Colony. I simply called MS and nailed down the reservation in 5 minutes, as opposed to the many months and much uncertainty that sometimes comes with II exchanges.

That's why I was asking because I didn't know if they were cash or not. So, did you still use your points for this trade?

you have to use your points.

You can't use cash for these trades. Only II members can get the getaways.

DVC is a corporate member - so DVC member can't get individual memberships.
