tomorrow is my 60 day window and I'm still not clear how to navigate fp on mde. When choosing 'who is going', do I enter everyone entering the park or just those in my party that I want for a particular attraction? For example, we have 5 in party and only 3 are getting fp for 7dmt. Also, my account is being used to book everyone's fp selections. Any issue if I'm not one of the riders? Thx.

You only Select the people who want to ride a specific ride together.

So Select the 3 for 7DMT.

The system doesn't care who is chosen for a ride as long as the chosen people have tickets linked to them.

Everyone on the resort reservation shares the 60-day booking window and it doesn't matter how they are booked for their initial 3 FPs per day.

can I get in on this rather start another thread?
is is better/more efficient to book FP+ for the headliners for everyone in the group and then go back and change for the few who will not be riding? We will all do Splash, but me and 1 of the kids will not ride Space Mtn so was going to make FP+ for Space for all 6 of us and once I have booked my important FP+ go back and change the 2 of us to something else.

You can do it that way so that you aren't changing the party each time you select a headliner ride.

You can skip around to the park days with headliners to book the FPs then fill in the rest of your FPs and rider changes.

I just did my fast passes for the first time and it went reasonably well thanks to all the available info and moderator help. It sounds reasonable to book everyone and then edit out a couple people later, except I don't know if the larger group would affect availability.

For beginners, I got tripped up initially with overlaps. I was trying to use the 3 fp's all in the morning before an 11:30 lunch ADR. That was difficult with the choice of three times for each attraction and no overlaps for the hour for each. I finally saw the link for 'details and other times' (I think while in edit) and was able to choose times every 5 minutes. So then one ended at 10:05 and I could book the next at 10:05. So what worked in the end was to quickly choose the three attractions for the day at a time close to where I wanted to be, then go edit each one for times that left little or no gap using that link.

The other thing I'd suggest is to research the car capacity for each ride and adjust your riders based on that. If you have 5 people and can only put 2 in each car, do you really want to have a stranded adult by themselves on magic carpets of Alladin? Instead, I booked 4 people for many rides, and booked an additional attraction with using the people who didn't go on them. Then we can swap magic bands to get the kids and an adult or two on that additional ride.

I know I didn't invent this but thought its worth recounting this mornings experience for other newbs.

Oh, and at 60 days out at 7:00 am, the first availability for 7dmt was 5pm! Strange. Popular. Veterans Day.
