Last minute fall reservations

We are not able to close on our VWL contract until late September. 1.) How quick can you make reservations once you close? We were thinking of taking a short notice October trip if anything was available anywhere in WDW. Do you think we have a chance?

With the Food and Wine Festival in late Sept until early November, booking in October might be very difficult, especially if you have to wait until you close in September. Many of the resorts are already booked up until early January.

I called for a Sunday night in mid October last year about 3 weeks before and there were no DVC rooms available, any resort, any room size. I was there for work and arrived a day early, I used points at POFQ.
