Last minute dining & Goofy's question

We have ressies for BB, GK, RFC, JK & Storytellers. All are for lunch or dinner as we will eat breakfast in the room to make EE's on time.

Does Goofy's Kitchen have characters around at dinner time?

And....I left 1 dinner free (Saturday night - EEK!! Bad planning...) so we'd be open to be spontaneous, where is a recommended place to go that is ok to get into w/o a reservation? Maybe since I left the busiest night free I SHOULD call somewhere for reservations....

Goofy's will have characters at dinner. However, you realize Storyteller's only has characters at breakfast, right? Didn't want you to be disappointed when you didn't see characters there.

I actually like spontanaity in the park for dinners. Would your family be happy just grabbing some counter service that night so you could enjoy more park time? I like Pizza Port (chicken fussili), Plaza Inn or French Market (fried chicken), or Pacific Warf Cafe in DCA (soup or salad in sourdough bowl).

I had dinner at Goofys on 12/24 it wasnt so great. The food was ehh, and kinda cold, however, the kids loved the PB&J pizza, there were not very many characters coming around and our waitress was well terrible.
We had breakfast on 12/25 at Lilo & Stitch now that was fabulous!!
I hope you have a better time than we did at Goofys.

Yes, I was aware Stortellers had them at breakfast only - is it hard to get in for breakfast character meal last minute? It is off season, so maybe...... If we wanted to it would be nice to have the option.

I don't mind being spontaneous, I just realized the night I left open was a Saturday night which sent me into a panic.

Gosh. Gulp. Hope it goes better for us. DD had her 4th B-day there ( 5 yrs ago) & everything was great & we had a blast so we thought we'd give it another go......hopefully it was just an off night for GK when you were there.

I called 2 days ago and got Lilo @7:30am Friday with no issue - so you might be ok if you try to add something!

We did Goofy's on Nov. 29th and had a good time. The food was good (especailly the popcorn shrimp) and plentiful. All but one character came around multiple times. Jasmine kept getting pulled aside to tables as we were waiting for her. She is DD favorite so we had to wait.

I would definitely go again.

we've had breakfast and dinner many times at Goofy's and have always had a great time and food was always good for a buffet, have a great time!
