Last minute checklist?

After months and months of planning and worrying about ADR's and FP+'s and best ride order to minimize waits.... we are down to 7 days from trip and I feel like there should be something I need to do now that it's so close. I know I'm very prepared, but feel like I must be missing something!
I will be double checking the packing threads as I start getting ready to pack, but anything else on your last minute checklist?

- Contact your CC company to let them know you are traveling (to avoid having a security hold on your card)
- Add "turn off water valve to washer" on your last day check list. Our insurance agent told us to do this years ago as it really is a fairly common failure and the last thing you want is to come home to a flooded house.
- Make a list of packing items and ONLY mark things off as they enter your suit case. Go ahead and start packing anything you won't be using in the coming days. (also, those foldable cubes are GREAT things to pack. They take almost no space in your suitcase, and are sooooo useful when you get there. I always have a couple for the bathroom to hold our toiletries & toothbrushes, and another to leave on the coffee table as a catch all for receipts, maps, pens, etc.)
- Go to the bank and get nice 1s & 5s for tips for bellhops & mousekeeping. Use one of the bank's envelopes so they stay separate and are still easy to get to.
- Clean out your wallet of any CCs & other items you don't need to travel with (think library card).
- Fill out and turn in your mail hold card. It has a start & end date, so no reason not to get it done now.
- Enjoy yourself!!

:goodvibes

Just thought of a few more...

- Get your Haircut/Color/Mani/Pedi
- Make sure you have paid bills that will come due while you're gone
- Leave emergency contact information with trusted person.
- Make sure your camera memory card is empty
- Backup your phone address book in case you lose your phone (speaking from experience :faint: )

Pack some dish soap so that you can wash your refillable mugs out in the sink.
Every bathroom has a clothesline to dry swim gear. Pack some clothespins.
Pack some Ziploc bags to throw those last minute snack credits used in for your flight home. They also come in handy after a quick service lunch when your child doesn't finish their grapes but you know they will want them in 20 minutes.
Pack some water bottles. Our family just fills and shares one. All of the water at quick service dining spots and at fountains in the park is filtered. Pack a watch. Especially with FP+ and ADRs. You will drive yourself nuts trying to find the time otherwise.
Pack some upset stomach medicine. On our last trip our friends little guy was sick to his stomach (heat) and couldn't keep anything down. Unfortunatley the store was closed until 6 am. Having something on hand for that would have been perfect.

Oh, I actually just thought of something I may need to do....online check in, I did part of it, but if I did, can I still go back and add my CC to our magic bands? I will have to play around to see my options. And I'm trying to request a certain bldg at POR, think I read I need to wait until 2 days before, but I had completely forgotten about this, will add to my calendar! Hope this helps someone else remember:) Would love to hear more last minute things to do and tips to prepare for the actual trip!

Speaking of the rec to hold your mail, I suggest you start the hold a day or two before you leave in order to be sure it truly is being held, and end the hold a day or two after you are due to arrive home.

I learned this after our mail was not held on a 2 wk trip (yes, I had the confirmation email from the PO -- thankfully a friend was petsitting and checked our box), and after our mail was unceremoniously left dumped on our porch even though I requested it to be held at the post office for pickup. If I had not extended the end date for that one, a month's worth of mail would have sat on our porch for 3 days.

I'm sure you have plastic bags, change of clothes, hair ties, chap sticks, ponchos (God forbid bleh), autograph book / pillowcase + sharpies...

What about glow in the dark items for night from Dollar tree, items to kill time in lines (stickers?)

I always pack cuties and cookies for the park. Gum because they don't sell any...

Hmmm... I'll keep thinking but I bet you will have a good list in no time.

Wait for the pedicure until after the trip. You need your feet calloused to do all that walking :)

Buy/bring the things that would be really expensive or hard to find when at WDW. Things like sunscreen, moleskin or bodyglide to prevent blisters, OTC meds, extra contact lenses, extra pair of sunglasses, nightlight, white noise machine. And a small sewing kit (or just a needle and thread). I once had a swimsuit strap break and had to pay $8 for a sewing kit at the POR gift shop - yikes!
