does Disney deal with so many liars and cheats that they are no longer able to give customers the benefit of the doubt WHEN you have documentation and WE all KNOW that ressies and history can be wiped out with a keystroke!
I just finished an 18-month dispute with the IRS and your situation trumps mine. I hate the "fax us" demand - like all of us have access to a fax machine. Personally, I think all faxes just end up on the floor so at least WDW got the fax....
Hang in there and hang tough, you have the documentation - sounds like they will have an overbook situation at the resort so lst ones to check in will get the BUMP.
Disney reserves the right to cancel or modify a room reservation (including after the room reservation has been confirmed) if the room reservation includes or resulted from a mistake or error of any kind, including but not limited to, a mistake or error in the rate, resort or room type, or where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent or misleading activity in making the room reservation.
Well, I had 2 nights booked at BWI GS last July. They were booked as 2 separate ressies and included 1 park admission for each person on the ressie (3 people). I got it for an unbelievable price and paid in full at the time of booking. They were booked online in Sept. of 2006. The ressies showed online that they were both paid in full. I admit I took advantage of a glitch on their online booking site, but it was their mistake, not mine! About 3 months later, I received a bill from Disney showing that I owed $600 and some dollars on a "paid in full" ressie for our first night. At the 45 day cancellation date, I cancelled. They never did charge me anything for the 2nd night. So they most certainly can and have changed prices on paid ressies. I thought for sure when I checked in for that 1 glorious night, that they would demand the additional monies on that ressie also, but they didn't. And we were treated like royalty!
OP, I hope this gets resolved for you. Sending pixie dust your way.![]()

Just an FYI
In the past ( but that mean that Disney will in the future) if Disney has a computer glitch they will honor 1 night at the glitch price. They will contact you and requst the readjusted balace on any additional nights you have booked.
When you check into the resort the CM's have no way of knowing how much you paid for your room so they treat you just like they treat any other guest.
They DID NOT honor (even 1 night) during last summer's BW glitch for the garden suites...except for the poster here in the thread (must've fallen thru the cracks lol)
My ressie pkg was paid for, i had confirmation, etc...after 2 months they called me & said it would be cancelled unless i remitted the balance (rack rate)...wouldn't even offer AAA or current promo or a standard room @ the rate![]()
Their reasoning is that pricing errors aren't valid (either made by machine or CM) - and it is stated on website & ressie confirmation...they have dotted their i's & crossed their t's.
Interesting comment that everyone i spoke to referenced: a prudent person would know there's a mistake when they receive an offer that is too good to be true?![]()
FYI, there was a similar situation class-action suit a few years ago filed by a lawyer who had the same experience; it was thrown out.
to the OP, regardless of how this turns out; hope your family gets to enjoy WDW
