I read on another thread that you can refill your mugs at the Boardwalk Bakery, but I've also read that the lines can be really long in the morning. Is there another place where I can send my dad for his refills? (I'm trying to think through these little details ahead of time to save some stress once we get to the world ;)).

Also, does anyone know where you can get a good skinny vanilla latte? Last time, I ended up making a concoction of coffee and hot chocolate in my mug.

On the nights that we have ADRs at Chef Mickey's and 'Ohana, I was thinking we should take a cab (or cabs...4 kids, 4 adults). Does anyone have thoughts on the best way to get to these places?

5 days to go!

Not sure about your first question because I've never had the refillable mugs.

But for your last question about getting to your ADR's, I would take the bus to MK and then you can get the monorail from there to the CR for Chef Mickey's and Poly for 'Ohana's. This is the way we would do it because I don't like taking cabs and besides Disney transport is free.

Just allow yourselves enough time to get there. Maybe 1 hour or so.

We ate at Flying Fish in January and were staying at POFQ. (We've since bought at BWV.) When we came out of the restaurant, it was late and we had a long day, so couldn't face the hour or so we thought the wait and ride on the bus would take. We took a cab waiting out front of BWV, and were home in minutes for not TOO much money - I think a little over $10 for the 3 of us plus tip. That night it was worth it because we were so tired, although we took buses all other times during our stay.

When we were there in August, you could get coffee at the Bellevue lounge off of the lobby, so you don't have to leave the building. They also have the same bagels, muffins etc. that the BB sells. One day we went to the BB but they had no bagels left. We just checked on the way back and the BL still had some. Whenever we stopped there, there were hardly any people there so it was real nice.

We usually try to use the buses to get to other resorts but will splurge for a cab for a return trip especially if we have later ADR's. To me, it is worth the $20 to save 45 minutes - 1 hour of travel time, when the kids are all tired out.

Have a GREAT trip.

Sometimes Bellevue does the mug refills and continential breakfast - seems to be hit and miss. We don't use mugs at DVC - too long a walk and we have coffee and pop in the room.

We always cab for those events. They have minivan cabs - I'm not sure if they will seat eight (we've done six lots of times) - so you'd only pay for one cab (same price) if they can fit eight.

For a latte hit in the morning - the Dolphin is walkable and actually has a Starbucks. Boardwalk Joes is open evenings and sells lattes (IIRC) - but for some odd reason no one has been able to figure out, doesn't open for morning coffee.

the dolphin has a Starbucks? is it a real one or one that just brews Starbucks coffee? this is so great to know!! Thank you so much!!

They just brew Starbucks coffee -- not a real Starbucks...

Thanks so much for the tips, everyone, especially about the taxi van (crisi). It's nice to have options, especially with four young children!

So, there's no Starbucks around, but maybe the Boardwalk Bakery can do a vanilla latte? I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Does anyone know if there's a fee to use the health club? I didn't think so, but I was reading a guide book and it said that fees varied from place to place. I might have to pack my little 5-lb. weights. ;)

One last thing: any word on the crowd situation this week? I'm a little nervous...

Thanks for all the help...you folks are awesome!!!

Muscles and Bustles (health club) is free.
We arrive at BWV on Sat. so I know what anticipation you are feeling! Last year we were there the week before Holy Week, and the crowds weren't too bad. We left on the Saturday before Palm Sunday and I walked over to MGM that day to get one last item. I couldn't believe how much BIGGER the crowds were on that day. So if you are leaving by March 15, I think you will find the crowds manageable.
Have fun!
