Hi everyone,

I wonder has anyone made a last minute trip on the July 4th weekend and got a hotel room. I looking to going then but money is iffy and I rather not put the money down for a deposit and just case I can't go.

I would drive down that Wednesday and hope I can get a room.

Best case scenio is called that Monday of that week and try to book a hotel room. I more than happy to stay at the All-Star Resorts and arrive that Wesdaay and leave on that Sunday.

Or Can book a room on online that close for my trip and still arrive that Wednesday if book online.

Has anyone ever done this a last minute trip July 4th weekend without a revestions.

If all else fails I would be making a list of some offsite places to stay at if I can't get a room onsite.

Please give advice.

if you book through CRO you have until 5 or 6 days before check in to cancel and receive your deposit back. i would book and pay only the deposit. just make sure you book with CRO and NOT WDWTC!!!

Last year I got a great last minute deal at the Dolphin. Around $110 if I recall correctly.

Unfortunately, I would guess that the All-Stars would be the resorts most likely to be sold out competely for a busy time period. If anything would be available, it would probably be rooms at a deluxe with a view, so therefore the most expensive anywhere on property. :(

Twice I tried to book rooms at All-Stars for a vacation near Memorial Day by calling in March, and it is always completely sold out by then. I would guess 4th of July would be similar. In fact, I have been to WDW 10 times and never stayed at an All-Star - seems like they are completely booked no matter when I call.

But hey - you never know! Good luck! :)

I called about a week prior to July 4th back in 2001 and got a room at POR with the Fl Res Discount. We stayed 4 nights. It didn't seem all that crowded to me. We did lots of stuff at the resort (not alot of parks - AK only) and never thought it was too crowded to enjoy ourselves.

Good Luck!
