Our kid free trip is coming up. We fly out next Wednesday evening for 3 full days in the parks without kids.. I have Ressies for Blue Bayou Fantasmic on Thursday and no other plans. We have been 2 times before but never without kids.. I really haven't planned this trip out because my mind has been on leaving my kids *LOL* So whats the must dos for a great kid free trip?

I would go check out the Cove bar while its still there. Also maybe go to trader Sam's. Maybe ride some of the rides the kids don't like GOG etc.

We will hit Trader Sam's I've been wanting to go there as for gog we are not fans (I know party poopers lol) I've been looking for hidden gems but I've done such a good job at the last 2 vacations lol.. So it was blue bayou and trader Sam's so far.. I know the food and wine festival is going on but my husband isn't a adventurous eater.. lol

I don't like GOG either..lol I don't think you have to be an adventure eater to eat at food and wine. I saw a lot of items at their booths at Xmas time that were pretty normal. Sliders, mac and cheese, roast beef etc. You may want to try them. I would walk by and see what they have. Maybe do a night show like the OP suggested WOC or Fantasmic.

I have blue bayou Fantasmic reservation already.. I've always wanted to eat there

The lines for Cove bar have been BA-nanas with locals trying to get their fix before its gone for good. The weekend in January before it closed there was a 4 hour wait. I had to pass on my beloved lobster nachos. :-( It reopened in mid-March just for spring break and I’ve heard the lines are equally as long.

If you are wine drinkers, or just need a break, we enjoy sitting on the patio at Wine Country Trattoria and having a glass of wine. We aren’t thrill ride people so when we go with no kids it involves walking slow, stopping wherever we want whenever we want, and eating all of the things we wouldn’t let our kids have lol. With an adult beverage thrown in there. You might also want to check out Carthay Circle in DCA for appetizers or a meal. It is a nice quiet break from the spring break crowd!

Snack your way through the parks. Have ice cream for lunch if you choose. Ride your favorite rides over and over. Take a long nap if you choose. Enjoy the time alone in the hotel room (if you know what I mean! Wink, wink). Have a nice meal at Steakhouse 55 then ride the monorail back into the park.

My husband wouldn't eat anything they serve so it would be a waste of money

You can make some adjustments, within reason, on the WOC Dessert Party dessert plates. For example, I ordered a plate of fruit and cheese only for my father. The requests need to be made at the time you make your reservation, then reconfirmed a day or so before your show date. Or you could have your husband's plate boxed up for you to enjoy at the hotel later. He could go get something for himself and bring it back, e.g. ice cream bars, popcorn, corn dog, etc. to enjoy with his beverages. You are allowed to bring food that he would enjoy back to the table.
