Last Min Changes

I'm looking into switching our resort from Coronado Springs to AKL for our honeymoon in two weeks! My question is what is the proper procedure to make the change with Magical Express? Is this too little time to get our tags in? (Leaving Nov 3). Thanks all!

A couple years ago a friend asked me when he was supposed to make his DME reservation. I asked him when he was leaving and he said 7 days!!!! I told him to call right away. I told him reserving the bus would not be an issue but he may not get the luggage tags on time and might have to get his own luggage. In the end he got his tags on time. So you may luck out and get the new tags.

Some people have reported here that they were able to use there original tags with out any modification. Others said they were told to write there new resort with a sharpie on the original tags.

I just made the switch to AKL and the Disney rep told me on the phone that I can use my original tags since the barcode is connected to my reservation. It doesn’t matter that the tags say Coronado Springs. I may write it in just in case.

^^ Makes sense, since I assume they scan the barcode when picking up your luggage. The other written info is there to read but probably serves no other purpose. Writing the correct hotel on the yellow tag is still a good idea in the event the luggage gets incorrectly routed.
