Hi Michelle,

to the DIS boards and WISH!!!
Both of my kids were via C-section too. I'm so glad your not sore anymore.
My biggest advice for you is to join our Biggest Loser 7 Challenge here on the WISH boards. The motivation is great, and it ends at the end of March. That is plenty of time to lose 10lbs and you could SO do that. Just hop on over to the thread and join us. The best way would be to weigh yourself today, AND START TODAY - and then weigh in again on Friday (you should still be able to lose a little) - but it will then align you with our normal weigh in day.
Now for how to do it:
I've done weight watchers and and now do calories. I find calories the easiest.
Go to
www.sparkpeople.com and sign up. They will give you a calorie range based on your age, height and other factors.
For instance, my range is 1200-1550 in calories per day. I can lose if I keep it within that range, but I usually try to have some lower calorie, mid calorie and high calorie days to keep my body guessing. I try to stay within that range, but can still do good having one day above the high if I use that as one of my high calorie days.
Do you nurse? If not, then you won't have to worry - if you do -
http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/ might be able to help. I know that you add so many extra calories when nursing. If that doesn't help, I can probably help you find the answer. You would just make sure you eat these extra calories each day, but you can still lose weight since your body uses the extra calories for the baby.
For exercise - Since it's been 6 months, you should have no problem jumping into a routine. I know what you mean about the cold. Maybe when the baby is napping, you can get a workout video and use that. Leslie Sansone has some great walking (walk away the pounds) that you do indoors - your basically walking in place. I'd also work on getting some light weights and starting to add some resistance.
PM me if you need more help, I know its hard to get started, but 10lbs is so do-able with a plan.
