As we all know the last day before coming home can be a bit of a downer it would be interseting to hear how you spend last day trying to get the most of remaing time at WDW:dance3:

The first couple of years we went to Downtown Disney on the last day. We would do DTD check-in with VA in the morning, then hit Disney Quest for a while and do a bit of shopping. But we found that, if we had an evening flight, we spent the latter part of the day just hanging around waiting for time to pass. So we now try to go to a park on our last day. Last year we hit Hollywood Studios for the morning, leaving around 3pm and heading to our favourite off-site restaurant for a meal before driving back to the airport. It was much more enjoyable and we definitely felt that we'd made more of our last day. We plan to do the same again this year.

The last full day can be hard (emotionally) Last year we spent it at MK, watching Wishes. We had to drag DS 9 out of the park in absolute floods of tears, needless to say we wont be doing that again. This time we will probably do HS, go on our favorite rides and watch Fantasmic, then have a nice walk back to our hotel.
The best thing to do IMO is choose your favorite park of your holiday and a few of you favorite rides, and talk about what you'll do first on your NEXT holiday there:goodvibes

We hired a boat at DTD one year and sailed to OKW (where we were booked to stay the year after)

We all enjoyed that.

This year the plan is a late start (will have been to MNSSHP night before) then minigolf and rainforest cafe (DD's choice)

We went around some of the other hotels to see which we might want the next time, and did a bit of DTD shopping. You might want to pick a DTD restaurant for that last meal....

We normally go to the cinema but this year we will have two 23 month olds so not sure what yo do with them

Our car needs to be back at the airport around four and our flight is 20:50 so mco is going to be their playground

We tend to head to MK, watch 3pm parade, go to main train station overlooking castle where we all "wish to return":wizard:. Leave, head to Earl of Sandwich where we spend last credits on sarnie for the airport. Then cry!!

chill out round the pool and make sure we will finish the buds, any left over we give away,
this year we only ended up giving sodas away last morning to greatfull English family who had just checked in

Traditionally we have dropped of our cases at DTD and then gone to CM for b'fast and then to MK. This year however we're having a change. We're still checking in at DTD but we are then going to Kona for b'fast and then onto Epcot for our final few hours!

We deliberately book an early-ish flight out (we fly indirect, so can easily leave Orlando at 11am-6pm) to avoid having that "dead" time in the morning when you're supposed to be making the most of it but continually clock-watching :rotfl:

On our last night, we choose somewhere nice to have dinner - usually at Universal's City Walk, then feel very sorry for ourselves :rotfl:

We hv always had a pool day as dont hv enough time to really go anywhere. ME normally comes at 1415ish but booked a 12 lunch at RFC at AK so planning to do a bit of AK. Nearest to the aklv.

Over the years, we've experimented with all sorts of different scenarios. In the early years, we usually had to factor in a trip to the mall to buy an extra suitcase, but we've learned how to manage that situation! We've often visited Downtown Disney or a park. Quite by accident, we discovered that booking the accommodation for an extra night (i.e. the night we're actually on the plane flying home) works wonderfully well for us. We can head out to wherever takes our fancy in the morning, have a leisurely lunch, then go back to the accommodation for a dip in the pool and a shower before setting off for the airport (and our traditional goodbye tipple in the Hyatt MCO). It means we get on the plane feeling refreshed. Admittedly, it isn't always possible. It works best when we're staying in a villa. I'm not sure I'd want to use DVC points for an extra night onsite.

Last full day is always MK if we have tickets.
Departure day all depends on flights, by far prefer to be doing indirect. Next August will be perfect leave Tampa at lunchtime so we will get up load the car and get the airport have breakfast and fly, land in NY a few hours to kill with a nice meal then home.
Last trip we were on 7pm Virgin flight, we decided to try some pool time, we were bored stiff after a hour. We sometimes go into a park but can't enjoy. Sometimes do last minute outlet shopping. Tried allsorts, we just don't particularly enjoy that last day with a late flight.

Check in at DTD for flight home. Go to EPCOT for a few hours. Go for a nice meal somewhere before heading to the airport. A few nice drinks around the bar at the Outback at MCO. Dreaded flight home to Manchester!

Sometimes we will fit in our final crazy golf match haha!

This year we are flying from LHR to MIA and same route return. Not sure how we will be spending our last day, never done this route before, we are usually regular MAN-MCO but the best airmiles deals were to Miami!

We will be in Key West the night before coming home so will probably hang around there and then go for a nice meal before setting off to the airport!

O I hate the last day :sad1:

We have done many different things over the years and depending on flight time home. One of my favourite ones, when my son was younger was to go to Magic Kingdom followed by a late lunch at Crystal Palace before heading off to the airport.

Our plans next trip and now Jack's a bit older we plan to have a late night on our last full day with a nice meal somewhere. Hopefully we might be lucky to get a late EMH somewhere. That way we can get up late, pack and have a late brunch before heading off for our 15.30 flight.

We used to hang around DTD but like Joh said we would end up getting bored. In 2009 after dropping our luggage off we went to AK and spent the day there. This year we spent the day by the pool, we had accidentally booked our room for an extra night which meant we could return and have a shower before heading to the airport. I would def suggest doing something rather than mooch round DTD.

we like to spend last day in M.K.
Downtown Disney luggage drop in the morning
Magic Kingdom all day - watch parade from Main ST Station and then head straight to airport. No luggage to bother about.
Last year I made comment while waiting for the luggage at Manchester
"Ten and half hours ago - we were in the Magic Kingdom!"
The faster the journey home - the better for me
This year - due to cruise dates - we had no park tix - so spent the day killing time - Never again!

We usually go to MK on our last day, but not sure what we are doing this year.

We dont pay to drop off our bags at DTD and usually go to the airport around 3 or 4 to off load the car and then wait for the call to board - at that point I just want to go home

In the past we have spent the last morning in MK and had breakfast early at Crystal Palace and spent the morning at the park. We then go back to the hotel and get our cases, which we have left with bell service.

We plan to spend our last day at Aquatica 9treating ourselves to a Cabana) - nice full day and can shower & dress before heading to airport (we have to be out of Villa noon and flight 8pm ish). We tried staying at hotel once on our last day and it really dragged, made wait at airport seem even longer.

For me its usually spent sulking and crying....and normally alot of shopping of some kind with the left over pennies
