DS15 had requested our water park day be Friday. The girls from NH were going there and then leaving for home at the end of the day. We visit both water parks, but DH and I like TL the best. It just happens that DS hadn't been at TL since he was quite small, and he was really looking forward to it. We found a great spot way up on the left side of the wave pool, with its own lean-to, important for me and my sunburn prone skin, and with sun for DH. DH and I began the first of our four trips around Castaway Creek, DS abandoned us and found the NH girls and we really didn't see much of him. He even did the Kowabunga Humonga slide! He did return to eat with us, but that's about it. We used Quick and Casual Vouchers at Typhoon Tilly's. I had also brought our Blizzard Beach mug and just got the sticker for $6, so we had lots to drink throughout the day. I even took a little nap, and then when DH began his nap, I did the body slides, and the tube rides. After DH woke up (2 hours!!) we floated in the Creek again--2 round trips.
We left about 5:15 and I almost bought a Minnie Paradise Found t-shirt in the gift shop, but decided to wait for my discount at the World of Disney Store the next day (foolish mortal).
We ate at Trails End and thoroughly enjoyed the buffet. DS and DH fell in love with the sugared flour tortillas and ate an embarrassing amount. We also learned that the chef at Trails End is now preparing not only the buffet soups, but also all the soups for Wilderness Lodge. The clam chowder was one of the best I've ever had!
Afterwards, we traveled to Epcot to watch IllumiNations for the last time of this trip. DS was hungry (go figure) and had to have nachos from one of the carts. The honeysuckle was just amazing near the International Bridge, and this night we watched from just to the left of the American Pavillion--this is becoming one of my favorite spots. This show brought tears to my eyes. Going to Illuminations on one of our last nights is close to a family tradition.
