LAST CALL for the 10/18/03 Eastern Magic Cruise!

I have some questions about Palo's. I am really confused about the charges I am reading ($10 for brunch?). Does it mean you pay the $10 and that is all you have to pay(plus tipping). What is the price for dinner? I was looking at a dinner menu for Palo's, but did not see any prices. Also, can you get this infamous chocolate souffle for the brunch too? Do you recommend the brunch, or dinner?

We are looking to celebrate hopefully one evening. My dh will be ending his job of 6 years the week we leave the cruise and starting with another the Monday after we return. He is now finally psyched about the cruise since there won't be stress to come back too!

Hi, we will be on the Disney Magic 10/18/03. Sharon and Joe and our 13 year old son Vincent.

Hi, Rena--

Hope this answers your Palo questions. The $10 charge for the brunch includes one glass of champagne; the $5 charge for dinner is basically a gratuity. Most people are so impressed with the food and service that they increase the gratuity. I actually think that this charge is just to guarantee that people take their reservation seriously. So many people would like to dine at Palo, but the number of reservations for each night is limited. It is more of an intimate dining experience--not nearly as large as the other dining rooms.

If you do decide to make a reservation and later decide not to use it, be sure to cancel. The $5 or $10 will be charged if you have not cancelled and just don't show up.

Both brunch and dinner are wonderful. I am not posititve, but I don't think you can get that to-die-for chocolate souffle at brunch. Maybe you'll have to do both!

Hope to see you on the Magic--
Karen

Welcome to our group Sharon and family! :)

We always tip more at Palo. $5 does not cover what we feel the servers deserve. And brunch is awesome! You must do both! :) :)

Two weeks from today we leave for FL!

Thanks Rikersmom and Kamy... Do I understand this correctly that you get your entire meal for the price of the $10(brunch) or $5(dinner- and tip extra after the meal).

I think I can start my packing my shorts and bathing suits now since it is going to be in the upper 50's this coming week!

Your entire meal is included except any alcoholic beverages at dinner.
Enjoy!!! :) :)

Good deal, huh Kamy? Only 10 bucks each plus alcoholic beverages. That means my bill will only be 120-130 bucks!!

Hi guys! Are we still on for the 16th at 9PM in front of the Haunted Mansion?

Kaleigh will either be wearing Princess Aurora or Minnie Mouse.

Yesterday was her 1st birthday! Her party is on Sunday.

We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow!!!:Pinkbounc

Happy birthday Kaleigh! :)

Yes Denine, as far as I know we are still on for 9PM at the HM.

We leave 2 weeks from today... 4AM. Yikes. ;)

Rena - You gotta love Palos! I tip on what I think I would have paid for the meal at a restaurant. With drinks I normally can't get out of there for less than $50 (or more).

Denine - We are still planning to meet at HM.
Happy Birthday Kaleigh!

Paul

Paul - Do we have to go back to the learning books with you again?? It's PALO, not "Palo's". You're a seasoned DCL vet, you have no excuse.

Say it - "Pah-Low". Good boy. One gold star.

P.S. Why hasn't Pam posted at all this year? She don't love us no more? ;)

(Only kidding!!!)

Thanks for the correction Beano! I deserved that!

I usually don't let Pam out of the dungeon until a week before the cruise!

Paul

Paul, I had a feeling you kept her in a dark, cool place much of the time!! No wonder she is so much fun on these warm, tropical vacations... she is just happy to be out! ;)

HI PAM!!! :)

Beano, Thanks "O Wise One of Disney Cruises" for the correction on Palo. I promise this newbie will never make a mistake again. ;)

Paul, thanks for the info. I am not sure what to do, the brunch or dinner. I am a sucker for chocolate and I keep reading about that chocolate souffle. Can I pay someone if they go to get me some to go??????:p

Denine, it sounds like you live by me. I live in Willowick, what about you?

Whenever I hear someone wondering about how much something costs on the ship I remember hearing a mom correct her son: "No, it's not free--it's included in the cost of the cruise."

the $5.00 is split between everyone at palos, you should try to tip more, i usually tip what i tip if i go out to dinner

Rena - If I had to make a choice between brunch or dinner I would definately choose thse dinner. Besides it being the best dinner that you will have on the ship you just can't pass up the chocolate souffle!

Paul
