I'm short staffed at work, I'm sick(or is that sick of work).
And I still haven't got my docs. I'm with you, the pool is calling me along with a big tall drink. Can't wait to hop that plane on the 16th.
Here's hoping that those of us who haven't gotten our docs, will get them this week.

Couple questions for you guys...

1. What night is the DIS party?

2. Asking, cause I need to know what nights are good to reserve dinner at Palo??? I was thinking either Mon, Wed or Fri night, but I want to make sure we won't miss a formal, semi-formal or other fun night in our regular dinner rotation.

Hey Dana!!!

If you are talking about the party in Beano's suite...it is not at night, so it would not affect your dinner plans...I think it is on Sunday afternoon....

The DVC party and the Return cruisers party are not at night either!

As for Palo, I would recommend either the first or last night....just my opinion (if you don't want to miss anything in terms of special things)

As for Palo...I was going off of this schedule:

I was thinking of Mon or Wed because according to that schedule it looks like it's just a regular menu, and it's not either semi-formal or formal night.

As for Friday, that would be fine too, except that we'd miss the Small World theme...however, if it's anything like what was on the Wonder, I wouldn't necessarily mind missing it.

Any thoughts? Also, thought I remembered someone saying that formal and semi-formal nights were on different nights than they use to be. So I'm not sure if the schedule above is correct, in which case, I'm lost. We're traveling with friends and I'd hate for them to miss anything, including Palo, it would be so much easier if they would send your dining rotation with your cruise docs. LOL

Last I heard, and read the Friday night menu was Master Chef's, which we do not want to go to ....so we would go to Palo.....
I sure hope that is correct.
I got that info of Barb & Tony's site.
It lists the dinners being
Sat - rotation
Sun- rotation
Mon - rotation
Tues- tropical
Wed- Around the world
Thurs- Capt Gala
Fri- Master Chef

I agree, DCL should send your rotation with your reservation so that you can plan ahead. They should also allow you to book Palo and SPA ressies when you get your reservation. What would be the big deal anyway. I booked this cruise a year ago. I got early seating then. Assign my rotation then and let me get on with life.

What would it matter if we could make these reservations earlier and know what your dining rotation would be.
I'm guessing we are going to be LAPLAPL, since we are all adults (at least age-wise ) but, ya never know! They are listed as my KIDS...so maybe we'll be on another rotation Definitely don't want one with the real little kiddies ( not meant to insult...just that I've been there and done that and part of the reason we choose Disney is the great options for adults without kids! Of course, there's lots of discussion on kids in the adult pools and running amok...but let's not open that wound!LOL!

We are hoping to do Palo for our anniversary on the 20th. That would be Monday...so what would we be missing? Iguess first we'd have to know our rotation, no?

Plus have formal and semi-formal nights been switched. Looks like it on that one link. Last cruise I wore cocktail dresses both nights, this time I'm doing long and short, don't want to get them mixed up. Not to mention I have to spell all this out for my kids. Plus we STILL don't have any idea what to do for excursions! Have to make DD's dress for formal night and my sewing machine is tango-uniform...had to borrow one...do I sound a little STRESSED!LOL!

I was starting to get worried that I was going to be the last one to get their docs. Everyone knows that honor is traditionally Beanos!

What did I miss? Not the cruises, I hope. I have been so out of it with work lately, these cruises could have come and gone and I wouldn't have known it. DW said we got both sets of docs today, so I guess we can go afterall. Just got a couple dozen more 12 hour work days and maybe I can bust outta here.

Loretta - I didn't think of doing Palo on our anniversary until you said something about it. The funny thing is, our anniversary is the same night as yours. LOL Maybe we'll see eachother there...looks like Mon would be a good night to go anyway, since there isn't a major theme that night, and what ever restaurant you'd be in Monday, you should be back in Thursday.

So I guess I'll try for Monday night, then Friday if all the times are booked for Monday.

I'd like to be there during sunset...anyone have any ideas on approximately what time that will be or where I can find out.
