Just wondering if anybody can tell me what is new in Las Vegas since the last time I was there... March of 2001.

We have been invited to go with some folks in May 2005. We have been to Vegas several times so it isn't like we don't know Vegas; we just don't know what is new in Vegas.

And that may be what decides whether we go or not. We don't really gamble a lot.... maybe $100 a person per day. We go to just get the experience.

So, what is new in Las Vegas?

Well, Papa Deuce, the Celine Dion Theatre is new...

Oh, and there is...

Wait, I should have remembered, I hear 'your family' is such an expert about regions of the country, maybe you should go ask them...

And when you do, be sure to post what they say on the CB. We're all dying to hear what 'they' have to say...

:teeth:

just got back couple of weeks ago.
The sexy sirens of the TI is new at Treasure Island.
They are doing a massive remodeling of the front of the Forum shops at Ceasars.
Borg Encounter 4d is a new attraction at the Las Vegas Hilton.
They have created a couple of new light shows on Fremont Street.
The Fashion Mall has been redone

I just went last week. I'm not the person to ask though...we didn't leave the casino for the three days we were there :smooth:

Wow, you are very comabtive. Are you related to my father in law?

Well, I go to LV for the food and the shows, so I can help a little there:)

Michael Mina has 3 "new" restaurants, 1 at Bellagio (the former Aqua) and 2 at MGM (Nobhill, kind of california cuisine and Seablue, seafood) All three are apparently outstanding, we're trying Nobhill over Thanksgiving

There's a new mall between Luxor and Mandalay with stores and restaurants. Another one we're trying is the Burger Bar, a place where you can build your own burger (everything from plain old hamburger to $60 Kobe beef to salmon) It looks great. There's a new store called the Chocolate Swan, a yummy candy store

Ka is the newest show from Cirque, it's at MGM. It doesn't open until November, so no reviews yet, but we're supposed to think "O" but with fire instead of water!

We went this may, it was hot. Drink your water. Margaritaville at Flamingo, Alddin is now PlanetHollywood I do not think they have made many changes yet, except Paris Hilton is getting a suite & niteclub:rolleyes: The new show at TI is just plain embrassing. Ceasers just opened a whole new section to the Forum Shops. There is a new monorail, but I do not think it is running right now, parts keeping falling of of it. Hopefully it well be up when you get there. Emeril Fish House is being remodeled.

So Where are you staying?

We don't know yet. In previous trips we have stayed at TI, Paris, MGM, and Bally's.

I may make it special and pay for Mandalay Bay as this will be the week before our 6th wedding anniversary. My wife loves hanging out by the pool, and who has a better pool than MB? Nobody as far as I know. If you know a better one let me know.

Thanks.

Bump..... also is it safe to assume that pools should be open everywhere in Vegas by May?
