I am only going for a few days but I am just not sure what to pack. Any ideas. Geez packing for WDW is a cinch but for some reason I don't think theme park clothes would be appropriate

Depends on what you plan on doing. For most stuff, "theme park clothes" would be fine. If you plan on catching a show or having a nice dinner or two, you'll want to bring slightly dressy clothes, depending on how fancy of a dinner or how nice of a show you're thinking of doing.

We wore shorts and shirts during the day, and dressier clothes for dinners and shows - like dress slacks or a simple dress.

Don't forget to bring your bathing suit, as the hotel pools are amazing. Also, if you are going this time of year, expect it to be hot!

Vegas is one of those "anything goes" places! You see people dressed to the teeth at 9am (just going home) and people in shorts and raggedy tee shirts at 11pm at night. :teeth:

I would bring warm weather comfortable clothing for the day. Comfy shoes are a must! Shorts, skirt, short sleeves, etc. For evening, depending on what you are going to be doing, slacks, a dress, a fancier skirt, and comfortable but dressy shoes.

What you don't bring you can shop for. :thumbsup2

i agree with everything lol were going in june. I am getting some capris, tank tops and some dresses and the bathing suit.

I just came back from there last week and I was actually surprised at how nicely people were dressed. Let me just rephrase by saying that people did wear things VERY tight, however a lot of people seemed to dress up a little bit. I saw skirts, shirts, capris....not many ragged outfits and not one thong at the pool (we were at Treasure Island).

I wore jeans and a strappy/dressy top most of the time - but I did get dressed up one night in a skirt/shirt.

Have fun and win big!

Vegas is simple. Except for the most classy of events, where what YOU want to wear.

I have been there many times. I was in Bellagio in the opening month. It was "designed" to be for the more upscale clientele... I saw a woman in there with a torn T shirt, filthy shorts, cigarette in her mouth, beer by her side, with her feet in flip flops propped up on a 50 cent slot machine.

Apparently nobody cares as long as you are giving them the chance to take your money.

Now me? I wear nice shorts or Docker type pants and a decent shirt. Nothing too nice. When I am on vacation I am not about to get dressed up more than 1 time.

We go to Vegas several times a year *it's a little too close sometimes* but honestly you can dress however you want! Remember what happens in Vegas never happened. ;)

But seriously if you are going to something that is really a "nice" place like dinner in the Bellagio or at the Wynn or any upscale restaurants or shows I'd suggest nice slacks and shirt or a nice dressy dress. If you are just going to hang out and wing it theme park type clothes will be fine! We wear shorts, capris, tanks, t-shirts, and then take some nicer clothes depending on what we are going to do at night.

Also just so you know it will be HOT there! It is supposed to be almost 100 there for the next 7+ days! Also I didn't notice where you are coming from but the heat in Vegas is *(what we hate to hear said but it's a DRY heat)* which means that there is very little humidity. Generally in Vegas from now through the summer the humidity averages 7 percent for the most part! And bring a lot of SUNSCREEN!

Make sure you bring VERY comfortable walking shoes because in Vegas everything is truly an illusion! Things look WAY closer than they are!! Make sure you get a ton of water in you as well. It's very easy to get dehydrated there and not even realize it! Even us coming from Utah which is also very dry and hot we have gotten ill from dehydration! The intense heat just sucks the moisture out of you quick and add that to all of the concrete, pavement and oye!

Most of all have a great time! Sometimes people watching in Vegas is more fun than anything else ;)

Vegas is so much fun. I do not get dressed up for work so I think it is fun to dress-up in Vegas. We are going in Nov. Have a great trip.

I'v been to vegas often and I have one thing to add.....I always carry a light jacket with me because it is COLD inside the casinos. Sure it feels good initially when you walk in from the heat, but if you're going to spend some time inside gambling it gets a bit chilly even in the summer....at least for me it does.

Have fun!!!! I hope you're back on here in a few days telling us all about how it felt to win the Mega Bucks Jackpot!! :cool1:
