Has anyone stayed at The Lady Luck Casino?

How about the Golden Pond Casino?

Arizona Charlie's Boulder?

I checked prices at most of the hotels/casino's that were mentioned in the last post, but they are all too pricey for saturday night. i'm still checking though!

I just checked Travelocity and the Orleans is $59/night for a room with a king or a room with two queens.

Some "die hard" Vegas goers love the Orleans.

I was about to recommend the Orleans as well. Its a pretty popular locals casino. DH likes to play poker there when we go. Its not too far off the strip compared to some other choices. Its not walking distance, but its not far. You'll have an easy time finding it and you can rest assured that you'll have a simple, but clean room.

It depends on whether you want to stay on the strip or downtown. All the hotels you mentioned are in the downtown area. Not to say that that is a bad thing, just it's the original older part of Vegas.

There are inexpensive hotels on the strip. Have you tried Las Vegas.com?

I agree with the above poster, these are downtown hotels. I've been to Vegas about 15 times and I personally would never choose any of those 3.

I stayed at Lady Luck last Nov. and I thought it was alright. I really didn't like it all that much because it is so far away from the strip.

On the strip, places we used to stay at when I was younger, before all the new fancy expensive hotels...Rio, Westward Ho, Circus Circus. Now, I'm not saying these places are resorts, but they're ok, and probably more reasonably priced, and on the strip.

Is it possible to go off season? December and January tend to be cheaper. I know even Bellagio was down to $109 a night at one point, and they are normally $250 and up. I imagine the other hotels also slash their prices. We've only gone a couple of times, but both times we were on the strip, which is where we like to be. Downtown Vegas is not our first choice, so we wouldn't stay at the hotels you just posted, but that's just us.

The best hotel deals I've found were at Excalibur or Fitzgeralds. Since we spend so little time in the room and both are central to their respective areas we keep going back when we can. It's been a while, but I would go back to either with no problem.

Boulder is pretty far out. I wouldn't stay at the Lady Luck, thats just me. I agree with everyone else check the Orleans they have no problems with just a Saturday night stay.

Ah, yes, Vegas . . . . :cool1:

must . . . snap . . .out . . . of . . . it . . . . family . . . vacation . . . this . . . year . . . .:bored:

okay, I'm better now.

Anyway: LL is a nice place to stay. One of the few places downtown with a pool. Don't go to the buffet, though, unless you get it free or almost. Go down the street to the Fremont or Main Street Station. As to the location, I love downtown, but some people don't; the hotels aren't as snazzy as the strip. Lots of places to go if you get tired of one casino, though. And the strip is a bus ride away.l

AC's Boulder is out on Boulder Highway. Far from the madding crowds. You'll need a car to get anywhere. I wouldn't do it unless I got an amazing deal.

Golden Pond? No such animal, as far as I know. If you mean the Golden Nugget, it's beee-youtiful, but it is downtown, and lots more expensive than anyplace else downtown. If you by some chance mean the Gold Spike, then NO NO NO NO NO! :earseek:

Golden Palm maybe? :confused3

If it were me I'd go off season or wait for a deal, but that's just me
