Larger trunk space

I am having a hard time deciding which would hold more larger luggage - A Ford Edge or a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. They both state that they will hold 5 suitcases but are those carryon's or actual check bag size? I will have 5 people and more than likely 4 checked bags plus backpacks. Which do you think will the luggage?

Edge has more trunk space according to specs. Based on pictures, I can't imagine it being an issue to fit 4 checked bags:


Side note: The Edge will also drive 100x better on anything resembling a road.
