Large party

We have a group of 15 planning for August. My family of 5 are annual pass holders and go often but Ive never planned with this large of a group. We would like to do a dessert party at MK, do you think we have a shot at booking it for that many people? Any strategies to secure that? Any other parks doing parties like that? Or upcharge events with less crowds? We have young children so nothing too late.

I’ve done 13 pre-covid. We always do the pre-party with garden view seating on our very last night. We also stay on property so we can book everything at 60 days. I never had a problem getting it for 13.
2 things I have read about since Covid:
1. 15 might be too many people to book in one group now. You might have to split it into 2 reservations.
2. When you can book these parties seems to be a guess. I’ve read midnight est, 6:30am, & 7am. The restaurant board might have more info.

With a large party you’ll need to all agree on what park reservations you want each day and what specific events / meals you want to try to get. Have each group book separately. There is often a charge when you book and it’s not fair to ask one person to cover 5 people. You book fireworks desert parties just like other advanced dining reservations and people might have different dates when they’re eligible to book. In the past I’ve been able to add these later, after the 60 day mark, but crowds have been crazy so who knows how that will go this year?
