On the Fantasy you need 10 to book the larger room. We did it with a group of 9 by going to the reservations place noted in the navigator and asking if it would be an issue. They had it open one night and that was the night we had, even though we didn't have 10. The table is huge, but it was very memorable for us. This was for dinner.

Brunch is popular and more and more people are vying for it. Typically they keep a few reservations available for embarkation day, so keep at least one table of four and see how it goes. They may be able to work it so you'll be in close proximity. Do remember that this dining experience is more intimate than your local outback steakhouse, so copious amounts of noise is a bit inconsiderate for your other passengers at dinner.

Thank you so much for the link! Unfortunately, we are on the Dream and need a party of 10 to reserve the larger room. I assume that the number in your party is a hard rule.... anyone know?

I think I might call DCL today and ask them what they think I should do. I’ll report back what I find out.

No it is definitely not a hard rule. We only had 7 in our party. However they denied my request on the form but then when I went to the CM who was making the reservations on the ship the first day, and they gave it to us with any issues. So I think it just depends on if it’s being used on the day you want it. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place before boarding because we had 7 and they would only make a regular reservation for up to six. But they rejected my request for the big table initially because I need 8! What’s a girl to do?? Haha
