I can't speak to the quality of the LL Bean bags, but I own several of the Land's End, in different sizes and styles, and they truly do stand up and hold their shape. They're great bags.

Also, the 25% off and free shipping also applies to the bathing suits, if anyone is interested. I just ordered one. Now, if summer would just hurry up and get here...

I still have my LLBean Boat & Tote bag from high school and it's still standing up and holds it's shape. The corners show a lot of wear and tear but it's still holding up! And to give you an idea how long I've had it --- I graduated high school 25 years ago!

I bought a few new ones in the past 10 years and they are still made with the same quality materials as the one I got in the 80s.

I was able to get a large zip top tote, in the solid red that I had been wanting for $20.00 (regular $43.00)! I was surprised that the sale included the zip top totes!

The free S&H was the clencher for me... it helped sway me to definately purchasing one to use for school!

For a smidge under $27.00 I got the bag I wanted, monogramming on it, with tax included!

My color is backordered until April but at least it is coming!

Thanks for sharing the deal OP. For anyone that has one, how well does the natural fabric resist stains? It says spot clean, so I'm assuming I shouldn't throw it in the wash. Trying to decide between the Natural with the Navy accents or all Navy. Love the look of the Natural but wonder if it's too high maintence. Thanks.

I've owned bags by LL Bean and Land's End. I'd say they're equal in quality. Both vastly better than the majority of bags sold at Walmart, Target, etc. -- much heavier fabric, will definitely stand on their own.

Since the zippered and the open top are the same price, definitely go with the zipper. The bag is designed so that the extra fabric (that makes the "cover") folds down when you're not using it, so it's not in the way.
