After experiencing Disney for the first time last year with my kids, I can't wait until the day the rest of my family gets to do the same.

I'd like to pitch an idea to my family (about 20 of us) to go to WDW in late 2005 or sometime in 2006. I'm sure the immediate response from some will be that not everyone will be able to afford it. I'm trying to put together the total cost, as of today, so I can see how much everyone would be able to save.

I'm assuming it'll be best to stay off site. From what I can tell Disney doesn't offer discounts on anything.

I did already order the Grand Gatherings info and have already downloaded the planner.

Any suggestions would be great!

One way to go would be to rent 2 or 3 villas near or next to one another.A typical 4 or 5 bdrm villa rents for $150-$200 dollars a day.Staying on Disney property and you can 2x or 3 x as much.Depending on how you go you have a lot of planing ahead.Good luck:earsboy:

Two villas are a great idea 5 bed homes sleep 10 -12 so you may find two are all you need ,depends how your group splits up .I f you are interested then Iknow of two 5 beds one home apart that might be a starting point for you which range between $139-169 depending on time of year

I'm in the middle of this right now myself! There are 18 of us from 3 states going this August. There ARE discounts available! We booked through Magical Gatherings (which is actually just group services, so if the MG thing goes away before you go, just call GS) and we all have different discounts on our rooms. My dh and I have an AP rate, my sister and her family booked the 7 for 5 package, my Mom and Dad have AAA rate room only, and my DH's family has AAA package rate. Check out mousesavers.com for discounts available. We are all staying onsite at the same resort, I wouldn't want to stay in the same suite or house with all of them for a week! Anyway, if you need any suggestions or anything, feel free to ask, I'll let you know what's worked for me so far!

We have a family group of 11 going this August. We have all different ages and are coming from different parts of the country. One thing that helped was that we started planning 2 years in advance. That gave everyone plenty of time to save! I honestly thought that at least 1 family would end up dropping out of the plans when the time got closer, but everyone now has rooms reserved and plane tickets paid for!
