Large Family Trip

We will be heading to Saratoga Springs with my sister,brother-in-law, brother, sister-in-law,niece 6, nephews 16,13 and 3. This will be the first trip for all of them. I am looking for tips on travelling with such a diverse group. We are going the week after Thanksgiving. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also my niece has juvenile diabetes so if anyone has ideas to help her, special treats etc. Thanks in advance.

we've done a large family group before - the first time was a little rocky - the second better - especially since we agreed to do separate activities sometimes and together activities other times - we recommend deciding to do this - and we used walkie talkies and cell phones to contact each other when we wanted to meet - it was easy - the younger kids wanted to start early - the older ones later - so we took the younger ones and met when the older ones got to the parks - then we also decided to separate again when the younger ones needed to get back to make a regular bed time - the older ones stayed later in the parks - so figure among yourselves which activities everyone wants to do together and then allow individual tastes to do other things and schedule you days that way - good luck
