Large Drill Team Group - Fast Pass Reservation Questions

Ok-- yes the remote analogy helps a lot! Hopefully we will get more information as 6 weeks from now-- the trip will be halfway over!!! Our dance group also makes their own flights and we all fly down and back on different days, airlines, etc!

It sounds like you and I are in the same situation! I will send positive vibes your way!!

Well, the studio owner really NEEDS to distribute the information, especially with a group with such disparate plans.

the studio owner is trying to get this information from her Disney rep and the rep is either not getting back to her or not just giving her the information. I'm not sure exactly what the reason is, all I know is the owner says she has not gotten our ticket info yet or our performance time and she is trying.

Okay I have a totally different opinion of my TA! He said there are 4 different options, sent them all to me at my request and let me know what I need to do to be able to use the different ones. I am going to share here in hopes this will help you!!!
There are 4 different plans, only ONE of them lets you make reservations 60 days in advance. These are all group plans offered.

Blue Plan - NO advance planning - Same day fast pass+ access

Things to Consider:

  • Group Theme Park tickets must be purchased prior to arrival & shipped in advance or may be picked at arrival (Will Call).

  • Write each Guest’s name on a ticket card.
• Planning for less Guests at a time may yield a wider range of FastPass+ experience options. Break your group into smaller
numbers to plan for (10 or less is recommended).

Follow these steps to get started with Disney FastPass+:

1. Visit a FastPass+ Kiosk located inside one of the four Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Parks

  • Kiosks can be used to make and modify FastPass+ selections.

Tip: Check your theme park guide map or ask any Cast Member for the nearest kiosk location.

  • If your group is enjoying the theme parks for two or more days, you can create a My Disney Experience account to make plans for all days after receiving your Theme Park tickets.

    2. Enjoy the Fun

GREEN Plan - Individuals plan Fastpass+ Experiences in advance

    Things to Consider:
    • Most groups use this plan.

    • Individual group members can begin reserving access to FastPass+ experiences 30 days from your group’s arrival date (valid Theme Park tickets required).

    • Before linking tickets in the My Disney Experience profile, assign each member of the group a ticket
card by writing their name on the ticket card. Felt- tip permanent markers work best. If you’re adding name stickers to the ticket cards, please place the stickers on the front (color) side of the card.

    • When in doubt during the planning process, always return to the “Planning Page” of your My Disney Experience account.

Follow these steps to get started with Disney FastPass+:
    1. Be sure to have your ticket card or Ticket ID number in hand.

    2. Go to StartYourDisneyExperience.com

    3. Once you have a My Disney Experience account, select My Reservations and then “link a ticket or pass”
      • The Ticket ID number can be found near the lower left corner of the ticket.

      • Enter your Ticket ID number in the field and select your name as the ticket user.

Tip: Before beginning, assign each member a ticket by writing their name on a ticket card.

        4. Reserve Access to FastPass+ Experiences
      • Please keep any scheduled events in mind when making FastPass+ selections.

      • Not all options may fit with your group’s schedule. However, FastPass+ times can be modified based on availability after confirming initial selections.

ORANGE PLAN - Group Leader plans all experiences in advance including Fastpass+ experiences and Magic Band Selections

        Things to Consider:
        • Group Theme Park tickets must be purchased and rooming list received prior to planning.

        • Group Leaders can begin reserving access to FastPass+ experiences 60 days from the group’s arrival date (valid Theme Park tickets required and tickets must be tied to Guest room reservation).

        • Before linking tickets in the My Disney Experience profile, assign each Guest a ticket card by writing their name on the ticket card. Felt-tip permanent markers work best. If you’re adding name stickers to the ticket cards, please place the stickers on the front (color) side of the card.
        • Planning for less Guests at a time may yield a wider range of FastPass+ experience options. Break your group into smaller numbers to plan for (10 or less is recommended).

        • This process will be very time-intensive.

        • If you’re keeping ticket cards and MagicBands separate, please stop here and select Plan Red. If your ticket cards will not be connected to
the MagicBands, the Group Leader can begin reserving access to FastPass+ experiences 30 days before the group’s arrival (valid Theme Park tickets required).

Follow these steps to get started with Disney FastPass+:
          1. Go to StartYourDisneyExperience.com

          • Create a group account with a unique group email address and enter the information fields with your organization’s or school’s information.

Tip: Group email addresses can be created via a free email generator. It’s best not to use a personal email address if the same email address will be used for personal Walt Disney World® visits in the future.

          2. Link Room Reservations to the My Disney Experience Account
          • Enter the Reservation Number (provided by Group Reservations) in the “Confirmation Number” field, and use the last name of the lead Guest on the room reservation (usually the first/primary name listed on the room reservation).

          • Guests associated with your room will be listed—it is advised to not change their names, as this can cause issues with the reservation. Names listed in the reservation can only be changed by contacting the group’s Resort Services Manager.

          • The names etched on the MagicBands can be changed during the “MagicBand Customization” step.

          • In the ”Age” field, age approximations can be entered. These entries will determine who can create an account and share with the group.

          • Continue to link additional rooms by selecting “Yes” for “Do you have another Disney Resort hotel reservation?”.

          • When asked “Have you purchased tickets?”, select Skip to Planning Page. You will be able to link tickets at a later step.

            3. Customize Magic Bands
            • To receive the group’s MagicBands before arrival, it is recommended to have the MagicBands shipped
to a preferred address (a home or travel planner address is recommended) to ensure direct delivery to the Group Leader.

            • Change address for each claimed reservation.

            • Guest names can be changed for display on the MagicBand (9 characters or less).

            • To receive MagicBands at resort check-in, wait to complete the above step 6-9 days prior to arrival.

            • Customized MagicBands are not able to be processed within 5 days of arrival.

              4. Link Theme Park Tickets to the My Disney Experience Account
            • Ticket ID numbers can only be entered in increments of 10 Guests.

            • After entering Ticket ID numbers, select from the Guest list and assign each ticket to a group attendee. Each ticket must be linked to an individual Guest.

            • If the group consists of more than 10 members, continue to link additional attendees after each section of 10 is linked.

Tip: before beginning, assign each attendee a ticket by writing their name on a ticket card.

              5. Reserve Access to FastPass+ Experiences
            • It is recommended that you plan for 10 (or fewer) Guests at a time.

            • Please keep in mind the group’s pre-scheduled events when making FastPass+ selections.

            • Not all options may fit with the group’s schedule. However, FastPass+ times can be modified based on availability after confirming initial selections. After arriving, use FastPass+ kiosks in any of the 4 theme parks or via the My Disney Experience mobile app to modify experiences.

Tip: Planning for fewer Guests at a time may yield a wider range of experience options.

Red Plan - Group Leader plans all fastpass+ experiences.
          Things to Consider:
          • Group Theme Park tickets must be purchased prior to arrival.

          • Group Leaders can begin reserving access to FastPass+ experiences 30 days from the group’s arrival date (valid theme park tickets required).

          • Before linking tickets in the My Disney Experience profile, write each Guest’s name on a ticket card. Felt-tip permanent markers work best. If you’re adding name stickers to the ticket cards, please place the stickers on the front (color) side of

            the card.
          • Planning for less Guests at a time may yield a wider range of FastPass+ experience options. Break your group into smaller numbers to plan for (10 or less is recommended).

          • Plan to spend approximately one hour for every 40 group members.
Follow these steps to get started with Disney FastPass+: 1.

        2. Link Theme Park Tickets to the Group Account
        • Click on “My Family & Friends” and then “+ Add a Guest”. Add Guests “By entering his or her name” and repeat until all Guests are added. If a group contains more than 10 members, it is best to split up to separate chaperones for ease in scheduling FastPass+ selections.

        • After creating Family & Friends, click “My Reservations and Tickets”, then select “Link Tickets”. You will then have the ability to add each Ticket ID Number and assign each to a separate Guest you previously created. Be sure each ticket is linked to a separate Guest (each Guest should only have one ticket attached each).

Tip: Before beginning, assign each member a ticket by writing his/her name on a ticket card.

I brought a large group this past spring break. Although we did stay off property, our TA had our tix numbers and gave them to me about 35 days prior our arrival. They had each person already assigned a number to input to MDE and it was up to me to give each person their numbers. We were able to reserve FP+ at 30 days out without a problem. If we were staying on property, we would have been able to reserve at 60 days out, and the TA said they would have given me the numbers ahead of that deadline.

As long as the bill is paid in time to the TA so they can purchase the tix in time, you should get the tix numbers. If your group leader was late is paying the bill, that would stop the process until it is paid for...just saying....
