Laptop security at the resorts?

Bringing our laptop on the trip so the kiddies can watch DVDs on the plane. Should I be concernced with leaving the laptop in our ASMo room? Can we leave it at the desk for safe-keeping? Anyone ever do this or have any advice?

I left my laptop in one of the dresser drawers at WL and AKL this last trip and never had a problem.

You could also lock your laptop in your suitcase.

I have left it out at the AS Sports, Dolphin, disney deluxe resorts, moderate resorts, put it in a drawer at all, it really doesn't matter...nobody is going to touch it.

I left mine out in plain view, on with the screensaver (Disney) so it fit in nicely with the room!

It's probably 99% safe, but I feel better having some security. Maybe it's because I work for an insurance company and see theft claims all the time. I bought a cable lock at Best Buy, you loop it around a solid object (table leg or bedpost) and into the laptop, it has a combination barrel lock. Check to see that your laptop has a lock slot on the side.
