does anyone know if they make an adapter to charge laptops in a car? or, where i can buy a converter to charge it in the car on the drive down?

Yes they make them and you can pretty much get them anywhere that has an automotive section. I have seen them at Walmart, Target and Best Buy.

I keep my laptop plugged in on the drive south.
