Laptop computer question...

I've just started looking around for an inexpensive laptop, I've never had a laptop before but now that DVC members get free internet service at the DVC resorts, I thought I'd like one for travel.

Anyway, my question is, I see netbooks and notebooks, the netbooks, for the most part, have no CD/DVD or floppy drive, so I assume you have to download any programs you want to run...correct?

Also, some have a "bluetooth" feature...I am assuming that means you use a bluetooth earphone instead of a wired set of headphones?

The specs listed on the websites don't really make that clear.

Or you can use an external drive.

Well, you can download programs you want to run, if there is enough memory/HD to run them. You can also hook up an external drive and install from there. Personally, I think a netbook is good for checking email, surfing the net and maybe some small document stuff. If you aren't concerned about size, I'd just spend the extra $$ and go for a full laptop.

As for bluetooth, it could be for headphones, a wireless keyboard and/or wireless mouse.
