Lap Band Question

My mother has been asking me about the lap band surgery because she know I work with 3-4 people that have had it. Unfortunately, it's not so easy for me to get to those people to ask questions.

How many of you have had it and what can I tell her about it. I am looking for honest to goodness responses...not the kind of stuff that I would read in a brochure. What are your ages? What health ailments have you had? Etc...

My DF had this procedure done. In fact, she has lost the most weight out of anyone who has had this procedure. It worked well with her; however, she does have excess skin. She was around 320 and is now down to 163.

Living with the band, creates healthy life-long eating habits. You will find yourself eating very little and smaller portions. You may even encounter sickness quite often.

My huaband had the bypass surgery. He did well for a while now he has put back most of the weight and is sick and tired most of the time. The lap band might be better because it can be adjusted and I do kknow several friends who have had it and done quite well
