Lanyards When Boarding The Ship

I have cruised a few times, and never used one......am I missing something...
doesn't get annoying around your neck ?

I'm with you on this one. There are some people that are "lanyard wearers" and others like us that just stick our cards in our pockets. DH has swim trunks with a velcro pocket and he holds everybody's cards and credit cards & DL's and that's how we roll. This is how we have always done it, we just aren't the kind to wear things around our necks all day (I can see it now, me with 5 of them on because the kids don't want to wear them after a few hours!):headache:

A CM in the Oceaneer's Lab told us that they didn't recommend kids wear them when they are checked into the lab or club. Too many incidents of kids taking them off and losing them. All they needed for check in was their wristband. So my kids didn't end up using their lanyards except when we were in port. :confused3 And even then, I often just slipped their cards into my lanyard pouch instead. So I'm not really sure how useful the lanyards are for younger kids. Now, older ones that will be roaming the ship on their own and need their KTTW for getting back into their stateroom and such, that makes sense.

With the Castaway Club lanyards, do you get one for each member of your group?

Thanks!

My husband, myself and 3 of my kids are CC members. On our last cruise, our littlest DD also received one even though she was not a previous cruiser. I think that the CM's give them to the entire family listed on the reservation. However, in your room you will only get one CC gift per stateroom not for each CC member.
