lanyards/pin trading ?

I have seen a lot of people talking about the pin trading and the lanyards that you collect the pins on....Where do you get the lanyards? Can I get them before we leave for WDW or do you buy them in the park?

All the resort gift shops have them, and also the gift shops in the parks. You can buy just the lanyard and pins separately, or you can buy a starter set. It has the lanyard and 4-5 pins all the same. You take those pins to the park and start trading for others that you want. Most of the CM's have pin lanyards and will trade for any pin you give them. My DD7 loves trading. She would trade for any pin with Belle or a horse on it!
