Lanyards for KTTW card

How do the KTTW cards attach to the lanyards? We want to pick up some at Walmart but not sure what kind we need and where they are located in the store. Is it best to get waterproof for when we are on excursions and CC? Do kids(8 yr) need to wear theirs or should we keep them? thanks!

We took a hole punch and punched a hole in our KTTW cards (making usre we didn't punch hte magnetic strip.) This way we just had to take off our laynards to use the card. I was afraid that if DS had to take his in and out of a plastic sheath, it would be lost forever.

I found a lanyard at Walmart that has a plastic holder for the cards. It seals up like a zip lock baggie. It was only about $1. Look in the section where they sell mens wallets.

SC Minnie-I've been looking for the ones like you are talking about at WalMart but so far no luck! GLad to know they do exist!

When we went on our last cruise in Jan. we saw several fellow cruisers with a travel photo ID travel holder. They told me that they use it when they are at the airport and it holds their ID and boarding pass. They also use it to hold thsir ID and KTTW card when they are on and off the ship. It has a zipped clear pouch in the front and a pocket in the back to hold your boarding pass. I have seen people with these at the airport. You can get them at www.enroutetravelware.com/ for about $12 each.
We ordered 3 for use for our Nov. 23 cruise on DCL.

TF- I read about their existance on this board. It took me awhile to find them in the store though. They were not hanging up with the other lanyards but were on the rack with wallets and extra picture holders for wallets- do you know what I mean? The string was folded and it was attached to a card so it didn't really look like a lanyard. Good luck.

Ordered several zip top card holders and lanyards from this company for our upcoming cruise. There are 19 of us. Ordered one for each and an extra i think... in case someone loses one.

This company was very easy to deal with and i think these will work just fine.

I too thought about the ones from WalMart but didn't realy care for how they looked (geeky - as my 15 year old put it!) her words, not mine!

Anyways... the lanyards i ordered were not like a shoe lace like the walmart ones are... they are more like a nylon with a clip on the end to attatch the plastic holder.

Thanks SC Minnie and BriarfoxinWA! Just got back from Walmart where we found them for .97. Looks not an issue in this case- may wear around waist under clothes when at ports!
