day one
Left SC at about 3 pm after a MAJOR guilt trip from Jasmin's teacher about her missing 5 days of classes... but I shake it off. When will she ever experience this in class? never. Pretty smooth ride. Stopped once outside Savanah GA for a quick bite at Denny's ($23.37 incl tip and tax) and
again near Jacksonville FL for gas and snacks (about $25.00)
gotta love that prtable DVD player! I didnt hear a PEEP from anyone in the backseat for about 3 hours!
About 11 pm we finally pull into Orlando and start looking for the Rodeway Inn... theres the sign right off the freeway! HOORAY.... I drag my sleepy body in to check in.. and theVERY rude clerk informs me that I am at the wrong RI. So back into the car and follow her sketchy at best direstions. Lost again in some dark road beyond i-4... finally convince DH to stop for directions.. (why? are men so stubborn?) We get on the right track and arrive at the correct Rodeway Inn.. now I am a little nervous.. I paid $28.30 a night for this hotel.. But as I check in my nerves calm and I am relieved to find a VERY nice hotel.. nothing fancy, but the rooms are HUGE and clean. The pool area is lovely with palm trees surrounding and there is a basic continental breakfast free every morning.. also kids eat free at the IHOP next door as well as at the Shoney's down the street. We crawl into bed and pass out!
