I am looking for my next lens and am looking at the limited edition prime from pentax the first is the 40mm f2.8 and the other is the 70mm f2.4 was wondering if anyone has any experience or heard better things about one over the other? looking for something that will be good for landscapes have the 10-17 fisheye now for landscapes but looking to add to it any suggestions or help?:confused3

I'm sure that those lenses will produce better landscape shots than the 10-17mm - the latter is more of a fun lens and does have a little bit of PF in the corners, pretty hard to avoid with a lens that wide.

The Limited line is supposed to be about the best and the pancake lenses are pretty unique.

There's some reviews of the 40mm F2.8 here and here and the 70mm F2.4 here.
Photozone also has a review of the 40mm and the 70mm.

For landscapes, I would think that both would be a bit too "tele" for that application, though...? Pentax has several wider primes available that might work for landscapes, but I assume there's some reason that you want the higher focal length.
