Landry's Select Club Card Question

I just called Landry's and asked about whether Thanksgiving would be a blockout date. I was informed that they have no blackout dates; Welcome Rewards and Birthday Rewards can be used any day of the year. That's good, but then I asked if I could use the Welcome Reward for lunch and then the Birthday Reward for dinner at two different restaurants on the same day. (I know you can't combine them.) I was told no. That really doesn't make sense to me, so I thought I would ask on here. Has anyone ever used their rewards on the same day but different meals and different restaurants?

Well, if anyone is wondering the answer to this question......
I called back today and talked to someone else. I was told that it is no problem as long as the first restaurant closes out the check so that the Welcome coupon is actually redeemed. She said the only thing that can't work is if you are trying to do two separate receipts on the same visit.

Looks like I will be eating at RFC for lunch and Y&Y for dinner on Thanksgiving. (I know--not your typical Thanksgiving fare, but it saves money! I can use these coupons on Thanksgiving when typical Disney discounts like DVC and TIW won't work. Then I can celebrate Thanksgiving the next day with lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern--and get the 10% DVC there. Yes, I am frugal!)

We combined our Welcome and Birthday at the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom a few years ago. I just told the server "we should have $50 in rewards on this card" and they didn't have any trouble running it through.

I have too, in the past. The rules have changed. You cannot use them at the same time anymore. I'm just glad to know that we can use them on the same day. It made up our mind to sign my DH up for our next trip since his birthday is around our trip.
