Land/Sea w/ AKL

We will be doing the land/sea in January and will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We have at Category 6 stateroom. Does anybody know what type of hotel room we will be assigned at the AKL? I'm really hoping that it will be one with at savannah view.

I to am doing a land/sea. We leave tomorrow for AKL. I designed my own w/ a TA. We are staying at AKL savanah view for 4 nights than onto the Magic for seven days in a Cat. 5. Just ask I'm sure they will let you know what rooms go w/ what cabins. Have Fun!

This past August we did the land/sea Cat 6 and you are guaranteed a savanah room with this.

We are doing the same thing! We are gauranteed a savannah view?? That will be so cool. My dd's cannot wait.

Yes you will have a Savanah view. We did this last year with
a cat. 6 at AKL and are doing the same this yearfor our upcomming Land/Sea.

We love the Savanah view rooms and you will too!

What type of room go you get with a Category 7 at AKL?

When I asked our TA about Savannah views, they said they only book Savannah rooms at AKL..We got a category 6 too and are going next June...I would think that if you got the book to have AKL that you'd automatically get the Savannah view..

Yes, you get a savanah view room with a catagory 7 also.
I think it's a great deal!

Do you get a choice of which trail to stay? If so, which trail do you think offers the best animal viewing?

You can "request " what trail and savanah you wish.
We always request the zebra trail on the Arusha (spelling?)
Savanah. There have always been animals to watch. We also
request a 2nd or third floor room .

We just upgraded from a Cat 11 to a Cat 7 and the AKL for our April trip. How exciting to know that we'll get the savannah view!!! Thanks for all the info!!
