Does anyone know, if you book the land and sea package thru disney, when booking the resort portion, are you able to pick out room type/views(garden, lagoon etc). I didn't see an option for this on their website.

Thanks

Don't know about room choice but do know that the cabin class determines the resort type for the land portion. Lots of folks book land and sea parts separately so they can mix and match nicer resort and lower class cabin or value resort and higher class cabin. You might want to check out the cost options.

Also, unless something has changed, DCL land/sea packages ALWAYS start with the land portion so you can't do a 4 day cruise and 3 days at the park in that order.

Good morning - on my L & S - I was not able to pick the room at Port Orleans. I did have to put in special request due to just having surgery. I booked through DCL and when I got to Port Orleans - my special request had not been processed. We had to wait an hour to get our luggage and find another room that would be acceptable for my medical condition at that time. I did request a ground level king size bed with extra pillows and a footstool. When we arrived ~ we were on the second floor - double beds - no pillows or footstool. They are QUICK to fix ( if they have the rooms - we were lucky they had one room left that week!)

We were booked at the Beach Club for our Land portion (Deluxe Resort to match our Deluxe Family Stateroom with Veranda). Our confirmation said "standard" view. I expected more than that having paid a great deal of money for our vacation package. I got some input from other internet sites and the DISboards regarding best rooms and locations at the Beach Club, and requested this at the time of check in. (remember, you can check in as early at 7 or 8 am, they hold your bags in storage, and you can head straight out to the parks.) They accomodated my request at check in, so we were able to get a room with a refrigerator, a full balcony and a view of EPcot.

So my experience is, once you get to your resort, they will do whatever they can to accommodate your wishes! Thanks, Disney!

We booked Cat 6 through our AAA TA and I was told that we have a Deluxe Savannah View room at AKL. We haven't received our travel docs yet so I don't have any confirmation yet.

When we booked our since cancelled L/S Cat #7, at the Poly for 2/06, the rooms were described as standard, garden view. We were able to put in a "request" for a specific building, non-smoking, balcony, etc. but were not assured of it being honored.
