Land/Sea Package: Leaving for ship from Animal Kingdom

Doing the 4 day land/3 day cruise...
We are thinking about doing AK Thursday AM before our cruise (next week--yeah!!!) Have some questions about how it works if we do AK in on Thursday?
Do we leave our luggage at the Poly on Thurs morning and will the cruise folks pick it up for us?
If we have day bags/carry-ons, can we check them in with cruise line reps at AK on Thurs AM?
What time does the bus leave from AK for the ship? Are there more than one buses/times?
Are our passes valid for a Thurs morning park visit with the land/sea package?

Definitely do the AK that last morning, it sure beats waiting at the hotel for the bus. Especially with kids, asking every 5 minutes, is it time for the cruise?? Our kids were so worn out after the AK, they slept thru to the port, even missing the cute Disney cruise video they show on the bus. The luggage was picked up from our rooms at the Dolphin and was outside our cabins when we arrived on the ship. Right outside AK, they even stored our carryons while we toured the park. It was a great way to spend the morning.

Is AK the only park that has a DCL bus?

Animal Kingdom was the only park that had buses to the ship when we were there in November. Worked very well.

Leaving from Animal Kingdon before the cruise is a great way to go. We did it back in October and it was a way to squeeze in every last minute of your land package. Animal Kingdom employees all line up to wave good-bye it was SO nice!!

I was not aware that my land/sea vacation included Thursday morning too! I did not make transfers part of my package as we are driving but I assume that doesn't make a difference. Does this mean I can go to any park??? I'm getting very excited!!

Yes, your passes are good for Thursday, too.

For those taking the Cruise Line bus from Animal Kingdom...

In November this had to be booked ahead of time. We were given the info at our hotel (Contemporary), with a deadline for responding. This was a package that included early admission to AK and a character breakfast.

You still need to book it ahead of time, it needs to be booked the night before, the info will be issued at the resort by the DCL staff in the lobby. There is no more early addmission to AK and the breakfast is an option now, you don't have to do the character breakfast to spend the morning at AK and use it as a pick up location
