Land/Sea Package at Poly

My family of 4 have booked a land/ sea package through Disney for the week of April 3,2005. We are paying $4,200.00 for a 4 night stay at the Poly and 3 nights on the Wonder. Did we get a good deal? I was also wondering about park tickets. On the first day of our stay do we go to the Poly and get our park tickets prior to check in time? If any of you Disney veterans out there have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

It sounds like a pretty good deal but it depends on what catagory
you are in , catagoies 7-4 on the ship can stay at the poly and 4 is the most expensive. Also I haven't priced the cruise and resort seperatly. Some people swear they do better booking them seperate but we are going on our third land & sea trip in Jan. and each time it was a better deal to take the package, even using discount codes for the resort.

You can check into the poly as early in the morning
as you wish. They will give you your park passes and store your
luggage until your room is ready. We live in South TX and its
impossible to arrive early so when we are doing a package like the land and sea we arrive the day before and book that seperate so we can then check in at the resort and hit the parks first thing in the morning.

I think that's a pretty good price considering I paid $4600 for 3 nights at the Beach Club and 4 on the Wonder in a Category 7.

Always work it out separately. Then you know for sure. You can price the cruise on the disneycruiseline.com site just for the 3 day with you group, then price out the wdw vacation, room, tickets, etc... on disneyworld.com . We did our own land / sea with a 3 day cruise and it was cheaper on our own, because of codes on the wdw rooms. We also stayed at the Poly. This was july (2004). I think its definately worth the time to work it out. But then again most of us our compulsive planners!
