You will laugh. Manacotti (i iknow I can't spell it too lazy to look it up) I asked the boys on the way to school if they wanted that or rotissere chicken & they both picked it. And since it makes so much I figured I would ask my in laws over. My hubby worked a card show over the weekend & he can show off all of his autographs & tell all his sport star stories.
Were you spring cleaning today or was that someone else?

I am a new loser (well new here that is ) I am here! Sitting on my duff instead of doing something productive I am thinking of going to the grocery store to find some green snake bread or some sort of St. Patty's day dessert so my kids will think we are a festive family

Sooooooooooo....I got to experience the joy of projectile vomit on the leather seats of the car this morning. We're getting into my son's bad season. Ugh!!!

BTW....I was kinda thinking of the new title being "Lovers Of Small Effort Relaxation & Silliness"...AKA "The Losers"...grab a chair and sit a spell! But maybe I should title it "Losers only, winners need not apply, rules in first post!!!" like that other thread "39 and holding" or whatever.

I'm still trying to figure out your kitchen floor. It's not real tile, but it's not like linoleum? Sounds pretty neat!

It might be a laminate covered type thing. It's exactly like Pergo.

It comes in strips. It's 4 of those blocks in a row, you lay it down, it has tongue and groove on each side, so you just shove the next piece into it, and it sticks.

I believe my hubby called it a floating floor. I dunno. I'm too much of a girl to know about that kind of stuff.

We went to the Luau at the Poly one night while we were in WDW. Of course, we got leis while we were there. I didn't know what to do with them when we got back home, and I didn't want to just toss them out or throw them in some closet, so that's kinda where they ended up.

I still don't know what to do with them.

I am here on & off, instead of cleaning like I should. In laws can't make it to dinner so don't have to clean so much for them. But my parents will be here tomorrow. The boys are "napping".

I want a new kitchen floor really bad. Our is old & looks dingey. One day.

I need a new avatar. I'm such a loser I still have my dancing candy cane up from Christmas.

I need to go to the grocery store. I'm going to attempt to make a hash tonight. Not with corned beef tho, with ham. We'll see how it turns out.

I need to start cooking again and including veggies in my meal. DH just called to check in on how I'm feeling and I asked what he wanted for dinners this week. he responded "salad". Guess I need to get the man something green in his diet!!!

Back in my Winner days, I did plan a luau. My BIL (fish guy) was turning 13 and decided to have a dance party instead of the traditional birthday party.

I decided it had to have a theme, and I knew his mother would only do the minimum, so I took over and we had a luau. The restaurant on the island used to be a school, so we booked the "gym" to have plenty of room. We gave out grass skirts and leis that glowed in the dark (it was a great way of keeping an eye on teenagers in a darkened room). We decorated it all up in a Polynesian theme, fake palm trees and little coconut glasses and umbrella straws and stuff. We also forced the kids to do the limbo, which was a great hit.

Oh, and my philosophy is: It's not a party without balloons. Even though balloons didn't fit in with the theme, hey, it's a party!!!!!!

We had a bunch of helium filled balloons, but we also spent all afternoon blowing up regular balloons, so the floor was covered with balloons.

And when the restaurant closed for the night and the diners were gone (we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted), I told the kids they had to pop all the balloons. It was much easier to sweep up little balloon pieces than trying to find a place for 600 blown up balloons.

It was like a war-zone!! Pop Pop!! Bang! Pop! Ker-pow!!

My husband and I went to an engagement party, and I made him sign in b/c I was holding the gift. He asked if we had the sign in sheets from our parties and I said yes..and he said "what do you plan on doing with them?" and I said "Maybe one day I will put them in a scrapbook" he laughed and said "oh, you mean put it in a box?" he knows me too well!

Yeah, I used to be a complete and total Winner. Two jobs (7 days a week), two kids, clean house, t-ball, every church committee imaginable, etc. Then I learned the error of my ways. I still get overcome with Winner urges sometimes, but it passes quickly.

First moment I've had all day, but here goes.

I got bit by the Winner bug and decided to make the pot 'o gold cupcakes. Let me just say that the whole "rainbow made out of Airheads" was a gigantic PITA. It took forever to cut those suckers in strips and then stick them together to form a rainbow. I spent most of yesterday afternoon doing it while I was watching the race.

I made the cupcakes, tinted the frosting green, stuck the rainbows on them and a gold wrapped chocolate. I was very proud of myself. I even put one on a party plate and took a picture to show you guys what a good job I did.

Not bad for a Loser, huh?

I got up this morning and started making breakfast. I looked at the cupcakes in my Tupperware saver and...

Yeah, the moisture in the frosting caused the Airheads to dissolve, I guess. What a sticky mess. I quick made the most pathetic looking Rice Krispie treats EVER...

The marshmallow stuff was dark green, but by the time I mixed it with the cereal it just looked sickly. At that point, I didn't care and DS6 got to carry the snot colored treats to class. He was fine with it and is happy that all the sticky goo cupcakes are his to enjoy. Whatever.

Next time I have a Winner mom thought, I'm just going to bang my head against the wall until it leaves.
