Day 2, Nassau.
Me, Jonathan-23
Karen-21
Started off with a sit down breakfast at Triton's. Pretty good eggs benedict, but not great. Assembled our things and headed off the ship.
Having not organized a shore excursion, to which we later regretted, we disembarked and checked out the shops around the port. After saying no thank you to about 27 different people for hair braiding, taxis and carriage rides, we finally checked out some of the shops. Not very impressive. The prices were not any better then what we can get here.
We then headed back to the ship for lunch at BBB. Very impressed once again with the cleanliness and selection of the buffet area. Had delicious fried chicken and other fine lunch food. Only when I was full did I realize their was a taco stand. Oh well, live and learn.
We perused our personal navigator and realized their was close to nothing happening on the ship during the afternoon. That is why we regret not organizing a shore excursion. We thought there would be plenty to do on the ship and therefore not have to spend the extra money. Oh well, we dragged ourselves to the Quiet Cove pool. We lazed around there for the majority of the aft, went back to the stateroom to assemble ourselves for the DCL premEAR of The Lizzy McGuire Movie at 6:00.
The movie was not bad considering we had very little knowledge of the world of Ms. McGuire. We then headed to Animator's Palate. Easily the best restaurant atmosphere on the ship. The colour changes were amazing and well done. I truly appreciate the little teases of colour we get before the whole transformation takes place. It is a truly magical restaurant.
Checked a little of the nightime fare. Dueling Pianos is truly a treat. Those guys are special.
Bedtime.
Highlights of Day 2
-Animator's Palate. What more can I say about this awesome restaurant.
-Dueling Pianos
Lowlights of Day 2
-Lack of activites on the ship during the day.
Stay tuned for Day 3
