Hi Everyone!

V close to booking my May/June trip  but wanted to ask what people's opinions are on lake side rooms vs non lake side rooms at HNY - the difference in price is over £100 and just wondering if it's worth the money or not.

Any advice gratefully received!

We booked a Non-Lakeside Room and ended up with a view over the lake anyway! I think we spent all of 10 minutes looking out the window. So, in my opinion, I would never pay extra for a view of the lake.

Edited to add - think of what you could buy for that £100 in the park itself! A nice meal, some souvenirs, some floatinis! hehe

Haha - absolutely! That's good to know. I just wondered if the Lake side ones were recently refurbished or something but like you we spend zero time looking out the window!!

Thanks a lot for your help :goodvibes

I have always booked a non like view. I am not bothered about what view we get though.

we stayed in non lake view. I took a look once, we were never there so we could enjoy view. No reason to book and pay extra.

I agree - at DLRP you just don't have time for the view at all, it's such a short break, and we're out pretty much from morning until night.

On longer holidays I will always pay extra for the view/location, but at DLRP it's just not an issue for me, I'd much rather save the difference for spending money.

Another here who has booked HNY but didn't book lakeview for all the reasons others said before me.

The only reason I would book lakeview would be if I were guaranteed a balcony with table/chairs but I know they don't have them so it's not worth it imo.

As much as I love HNY I'd never pay extra for a lake view - for all the same reasons above.

We did once have a ground floor room, near the swimming pool, and had patio doors into the garden overlooking the tennis courts. That was quite nice in the summer, but we hardly used it.

Oooh that really helps everyone thanks so much. It's unanimous! :goodvibes

Non lake view it is (the answer I was hoping for!)

Thanks again everyone for replying :thumbsup2
