Ok not sure what is is called, but there used to be a parade of sorts in the lake outside of MK, Contemporary, etc. It was at night and featured a dragon and other animals.

Anyone know the name and whether they still have it? Is so do they do it every night or only certain nights. Thanks

Ditto.

Just ask Guest Services at any of the lake-side resorts for the time that it stops by at which resort.

Here is the time schedule and a breif description/ History to the parade...

Polynesian Resort -- 9:00pm
Grand Floridian -- 9:15pm
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35pm
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45pm
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05pm
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20pm (only during extended Magic Kingdom Park hours)

Description: Originally presented for the dedication of the Polynesian Luau on October 26, 1971, the Electrical Water Pageant is presented nightly at the Magic Kingdom Area Resorts. The pageant consists of two strings of seven barges, each carrying a 25-foot-tall screen of lights featuring King Neptune and creatures from under the sea in an aquatic parade set to Disney music. Flags and Stars! The pageant concludes with an inspirational salute to America, with Flags and Stars set to a patriotic musical score.

We took a Wishes cruise and got to see the parade up close! It was pretty terrific! I thought it was one of the best 'surprises' of our trip.

If you look to the left of the monorail on your way into the MK (coming from GF, for example), there is a small inlet of water that you can see them in the daylight. It's such a difference to see them at night all lit up!

Atleast I'm pretty sure that's where I saw them... :::scratches head and starts to wonder:::: :scratchin

Yes that is where they are stored during the day. Occasionally you will see them working and replacing bulbs while it is docked there.

I have a friend that stayed at the Polynesian. When she and her family got home, she said..."We saw that light show on the lake in front of the Polynesian one night...what a joke. I thought it was going to be something worthwhile, but it wasn't. I wish we hadn't sat around waiting for it." Well, it just goes to show how everyone likes something different. My family loves this show. In fact, we taped it and watch it throughout the year. It just makes us feel good. Is it spectacular? No, maybe not. But it sure is fun to watch. We love the music, the lights...everything about it. I'm glad to see so many others out there feel the same way we do about it.

We saw the show recently from the Poly. We loved it. I was amazed by how long it was and enjoyed the music.
