Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

After cleaning up and changing it was time to head back to the MK for our diner, to use of FPs and to do some shopping. We had an ADR for Tony's at 5:05.

We took to bus to MK. I'm going to detour for a little bit here because I have a small complaint. I know I've mentioned it before but I'm a frequent visitor to the bathrooms all around the world. This of course means I wash my hands a lot. Has anyone else noticed how much the soap dries out your hands? I carried around a small hand lotion with me all week to combat this and had to use it very often. After a while Michelle started using the hand sanitizer hoping it wouldn't try her hands out as much. Ok, detour over. On that note as we were passing under the train station and since we were heading to diner Michelle did a quick squirt with the hand sanitizer as we passed, remember this for later.

As we were checking in the Flag lowering ceremony was just starting. Dennis and the girls sat on the porch while I check us in.

We didn't get to finish watching before our table was ready. This was only our second time eating here. We ate here in 2007 and found it to be a nice relaxing dinner. On our last visit we sat in a booth. This time we were seating by the glass doors looking out to the outdoor seating. Our nice relaxing day had continued and we had a great time at dinner. Dennis and Michelle ordered the Chicken parmigiana. Danielle and I had the New York Strip. YUM!

Yummy bread and our drinks. Everyone ordered the strawberry lemonade except for Dennis. We were also playing Ms Anita and Marks game to see whose ice would last the longest.

We really enjoyed our food. I wasn't able to finish my steak but believe it or not Danielle ate every last bit of hers. She's a meat eater. As dinner was winding down we asked Dennis to take a picture of Michelle and I with our pearls. Right before snapping Dennis notice Michelle had some parmigiana sauce on the outside of her hand. Thinking quickly she licked it.

Her face after licking.

Not only did she get a taste of sauce she also got a taste of the hand sanitizer. YUCK!

This picture was much better.

The lovely fountain, not too far from our table.

We were on pins and needles to see who won the ice contest.

In the end Michelle won!

Or course before we could leave I had to visit the ladies room. Danielle went with me and we snapped a few photos.

This was taken outside the actual restaurant but still inside the building.

We had a lovely meal and now it was time to be silly. Up next some fun photos.

Tasting hand sanitizer = Yuck!!! :crazy2:

Neat game with the ice. I suppose you could play with the first person whose ice melts, wins? Then you'd have people trying to blow through the straws to heat them up.

Looking forward to the fun photos coming up next!

Your game sounds fun too. It might make waiting more fun since it involves more than just watching ice melt.

Yuk for the handsanitizer !!Yeh for Tony's , we are eating ther in October .

Rosie I hope y'all have a great meal there too.

I'll catch up TR update when I can see your pictures, but I read all about your Feb plans. Sounds great. It's definitely a better deal with the four of you.

Ugh - those flights are so ridiculously high. Yikes. Don't blame you for driving.

As far as your ADR's - that's tough. I tried to make two different ADRs for the same approximate time (one I called for and one I did on line) and the online ADR picked up that I had two and asked me to cancel one. I was going to cancel anyway, but was surprised it found the other ADR.

I strongly suggest two different email addresses and two different names. I was shocked because that's the first time that's happened. I used two different names but somehow they were linked to the same email address.

Your trip is going to be wonderful.

Danielle informed me on Saturday that she doesn't want us trying to hang around her. She wants to be on her own and is even ok with us being at a different park. On Saturday night we got together with Chelsea to make some dining plans. Since Danielle doesn't care that we be with her each day we went ahead and made our plans based on what we wanted to do on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. So now I'll be making just one reservation a day so I should get in trouble with having too many adrs close together. I was worried about the system not letting me make 2 adrs too close together.

I enjoyed reading the update on Tony's. I have some fond memories of that place from our honeymoon. It may yet wind up on the list for next time around.

Tony's would be a great place to take the girls. You have to share the place Mommie and Daddy ate at on their honeymoon.

Tomorrow in my ADR day for our Mardi Gras trip. Wish me luck! I'll be up before 5 so I can log in to try and get just the right times.

Good luck tomorrow Vanessa! I hope you get everything you want. I'm so glad you get to go back!

I had a successful morning. I was finished by 5:14 since I only had to make 4 adrs. Hopefully I can catch up on sleep tonight.

Congrats Vanessa! You have my permission to sleep in tomorrow! ;)

Indeed!

I look forward to reading about it!

:cool1:

I'm so glad the people here can appreciate how great it was cause the family just doesn't get as excited as I do. They don't understand the planning and sacrifice that goes into getting it just right.

GB do you live anywhere near Austin? I'm asking because my oldest is living in Pflugerville now and we're hoping to make a trip there in the future.

When last we left off a very nice dinner had been had at Tony's. It was a great last meal with good food. We all had a nice relaxing meal. On the way out the girls and I had to stop for some fun. On our New Years 2006 trip we tried out the photo area in the back of the building. I don't remember where I had read about it but we really enjoyed playing around in there. On the night we went there Dennis wasn't with us. He had returned to the room to watch the National Championship game between Texas and USC. When we had been here earlier in the week for Danielle's BBB pictures the had the area closed off. Here was our chance to play around. I'm so glad we did this since it is now gone forever. This area is now where the character meet and greets with Mickey, Minnie and the Princesses. For Dennis this was his first experience.

Danielle loves Steamboat Willie Mickey.

I love it when my 2 girls get together and are silly.

Dennis and I got in on the fun!

Now that we had had some fun it was time to rides some rides and do some shopping!

One final good by to Tony's.

Next post Buzz!

I'm terribly, terribly behind everywhere, but I did read your last post, and WOW! You all had a fantastic photo shoot back there. I LOVE that area for goofing around!

Fabulous review on Tony's too, my dear! Good stuff, dat!

Thanks Liesa! I'm really going to miss that area for photo ops. I've been way behind too but I'm slowly catching back up.
