Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

vamassey1, I have been lurking on the Board for years and love reading trip reports to get my "fix" between visits. Your trip report caught my eye with the "Laissez les bon temp rouler" and I had to post. I'm 42, from Louisiana (GO SAINTS :cheer2:), I'm a Disney fanatic, a big planner (planning the trip is almost as much fun as the trip itself!), HATE when someone messes up my plans, and I'm a people pleaser. No doubt that I will have to catch up and follow your report. Looking forward to it!

So glad that Michelle made it in time for lunch! Those girls and their diva moments....
Do you remember if Dennis had a Yak Attack to drink? It looks the same color as what I had this past July.

I didn't know there was a flower making station, is it right by Yak & Yeti?

Oh and the Wedding? We are making Baylor wait until he saves up a down payment on a castle.

:welcome: and I'm trilled your first post was here. Please continue to post. Wow we have a lot in common, but I don't think I have a twin.

And again please join in the fun.

I'll have to ask Dennis if he remembers what he had, I doubt he remembers. Michelle might, she helped him pick it out. He samples a drink at most TSs we had.

I don't actually remember the set up of the flower station since I was spending most of my time fretting, but they did it while we were seated in the big toe area.

I do expect an invitation to the wedding!

That Mango pie looks really good. So does the cheesecake. I'm debating about trying that at Y&Y. I adore cheesecake. :rotfl2:

You got some really nice photos while waiting for Michelle to show up. Lunch sounded yummy. I am eating there for dinner in 15 days and it will be my first time. The mango pie looks delish! Nice update!

You're making me miss AK! Very nice pictures while waiting for your daughter. I feel your pain regarding teenagers and trying to teach consideration for others.

The Mango Pie was divine and very refreshing. Danielle's sorbet was really great too.

Dennis really did do a good job with the photos. I highly recommend the Mango Pie.

I've been meaning to comment on your DH's name. To Dennis is always Dennis to me, but everyone in his family calls him Denny.

Thanks Glenn!:thumbsup2 Can't take credit for the pictures, that was Dennis. If they were all people pleasers like me it wouldn't be so hard. My oldest, Brent is more like me of course he's the only boy too.

Gorgeous pictures from all around Animal Kingdom! It is such a photographic park!

Ugh to Michelle being late! I know I hate waiting on people!

The paper flowers the girls made are super cute!

Yum! I had the mango pie in 2008 and really wish I had a piece right now!

Thanks Jackie!

After looking at that picture again and again I'm really wanting another piece.

:welcome:Jenny! Take your time. I put links up on the first page. I'm almost to the update where I finally meet Jordan.

:thanks: Love having links so I can catch up! Read the first- your girls are so cute! And they did a great job on the binder too.

Thanks!:thumbsup2 I think they are cute too, but I'm partial. Michelle did great on the binder. She's hoping to take a trip next year before Christmas with her friends, they will all be 21 by then. She's already started a binder for the trip.

When is your next trip?

After lunch we split up with plans to meet at FOLK. I had the younger girls, Dennis and Michelle went for Safari fps and Jada was smoking.

Dennis and Michelle made it there first. They called me and said to hurry that they were letting people in and it was filling up. I hurried over and called Jada. "Where are you? We're walking in now and it's getting close to full." She started making her way to us. We ended up being seated in the Lion section. Of course I spent the next 15 minutes fretting and doing the waiting game again. By the time she walked in the theater was almost completely full and we had been told several time to "shoot all the way to the end". We did save her a place. When she walked in they tried to direct her to the Warthog section but she saw us and made her way over. She had made it just in time. It took me a while to relax again but soon the magic of the music took over. We really love this show. So relax sit back and take a look at the not so good and way too many photos I took.

I love Timmon and the Jungle Monkeys.

After the end of the show it was time for a bathroom break and to head to the Safari.

More to come.

Great update! Love Festival of the Lion King - it's so well done! Glad everyone made it there and you were able to relax and enjoy the show!

We hopped into the fp line and soon we were boarding our jeep. I sat all the way to the right with Dennis next to me. Since this was Jada and Lauren's second trip I wanted them to be able to get some good pictures.

Since it was a beautiful but cool day we saw lots of animals.

Okay here come the wildebeest. Right before we took our trip we watched the Samantha Brown special on Disney. Michelle is a huge fan. She made a comment on how beautiful the wildebeest are and that they shouldn't let anyone else tell them differently. Because of this we had to take some pictures and tell they how beautiful they are.

Backside of the baby elephant.

Look we got the lions!

More to come.

As we were exiting KS we stopped to take a look at the Gorillas.

Gorilla back.

By now it was getting late. The plan was to leave for DHS not too long after lunch but that wasn't happening. AK is Dennis' favorite park and I was having a hard time dragging him away from it. We still had another full day planned on Thursday. We still had our fps for Everest. At this point we told Jada to go ahead and head over to DHS and we would call her when we got there. So off to Everest we went. I'm sorry but I don't have any pictures. We all four rode and most of us enjoyed it. I don't know if I was still having lingering effect from the night before or what but I didn't feel so good when I got off. My head was hurting again and my stomach wasn't feeling so hot. When we got off Dennis wanted to head to Dinosaur and try to ride stand by again. I put my foot down and told him no it was time to go to DHS. If we didn't get there soon we wouldn't get to do anything. I also had some thing else I wanted to do. I had planned to meet up with Jordan (jordanyosh) and Elizabeth (eliz991). It was 4 before we got on a bus. I started texting Jordan to let him know we were on our way over finally!

When we got to DHS it was really crowded. It didn't look good. We walked down Sunset to see if there were any fps left, nope not a one. At this point Dennis was frustrated, I wanted to tell him "I told you so" but didn't. We walked back up Sunset and went to the Villians and Candy store. We got some cotton candy and I can't remember what else. We sat outside the store to regroup and see what we would do next. At the same time Jordan and I were texting back and forth. With not much time we decided to head back to Beauty and the Beast. The next and last show was at 5:45. It was really early to line up but at least we would have great seats. People were already lining up for Fantasmic! So we lined up to wait. While waiting Jordan started heading our way. We finally met! This was my first official Dis Meet and I have to say it wasn't awkward at all. I also have to admit Dennis wasn't too thrilled. He knew we were going to meet Jordan and was okay but he wasn't too comfortable when it really happened. So we started talking and catching up. We had Michelle take a picture with both our cameras. Here's mine.

Yes he had the tongue thing going on. I didn't even think to do that. Danielle took one with his camera too but y'all have to wait to see it when he picks his report back up. Not too long after that they opened the theater for seating. Dennis and the girls went in and I stayed out with Jordan. Not too long after that I got a call. The girls wanted something to eat. So Jordan and I looked around for their requests. Thank goodness he was there to help. I didn't have enough hands for everything. Looking at the picture I forgot to mention the beads he's wearing. I have on my official NFL Saints Mardi Gras beads that I paid $10 for on Bourbon Street the night of the game. The beads Jordan are wearing, I caught on Bourbon Street. And no I didn't have to show anything to get them. I though it would be neat to bring him something from Bourbon. I know he wants to go to New Orleans.

So Danielle wanted a plain hot dog that cost $5, we got that at the stand right outside the entrance to B&B. Michelle wanted a turkey leg. We found that not too much further away. If you know Jordan you know he doesn't like turkey legs. Poor guy he ended up holding it for me while I was digging for money. We took some interesting pictures with that turkey leg that once again you'll have to wait to see since it was with his camera. But I do have one of Michelle enjoying her turkey leg for your viewing pleasure.

I'm going to end this update here. Next up is Beauty and the Beast with lots of pictures.
